Ron's Weekly Update for 27 July. -- What did I do last week? - Hopped on a call with a Business Manager from a globally known e-commerce store builder for a potential partnership. - Finished the first draft of pricing and financial metrics for 2 years. - Talked to 3 potential customers. - Watched 7 videos of interviews with 7 billionaires in the Philippines. What did I learn? - I learned that my target audience has techphobia. I will explore this further as I talk to more of them. - I realized that for my product to be a profitable business, I need to help my customers build an online presence with competitive plans. This means I need to invest in making high-volume, close-win deals. Volume is ideal to hit my target audience. If I increase the pricing, I can potentially earn more, but it would defeat my mission to help micro and small store owners transition to an omnichannel solution. - I need to move fast and be more agile. My biggest challenge: - Stability of plan pricing in PHP currency against the stronger USD. - Reaching 316 potential customers and ensuring effective communication with them. - Time constraints—Christmas is approaching. Goals for next (this) week: - Put on hold the random sampling to a 315-sample size until I have talked to 10+ users, as my ideas and strategies will be more refined by then. - Propose to put on hold any meetings and development on the agreement between Lodel and the platform partner. I cannot determine the right pricing without talking to my potential users, and I can only talk to them if I know I'm doing things the right way. I believe the right way means going through the process and every step for the sake of quality, but I must do it with speed, which is very important. - Rewatch Athena's 1-hour startup course. - Start the "Pick an important problem" stage.
