The one which I and you both know how to use, which you can demonstrate to me with correct technique, you can afford and is easily available in your area is the best inhaler device for you. The sad reality- Clinicians/ patients take this decision instinctively without considering all the above aspects.

Our latest research on patients with severe asthma highlights critical gaps, particularly the inequities among marginalized communities. Only 50.5% of patients with uncontrolled severe asthma saw a specialist, and just 27.6% had evidence of medication escalation. The study also found that 41% of Black and 38% of Hispanic/Latino patients received no necessary follow-up care compared to 33% of non-Hispanic White patients. Do you suffer from Asthma? Ever considered the triggers that maybe in your home? There are many triggers in the home which you may or may not be aware of - however the issues in the home are not often considered by medical professionals and patients in treating and managing their asthma. Our research, Adelle Mansour Rebecca Bentley Chris Jensen and I undertook surveys and focus groups with people living with asthma, building and property professionals and health care providers, which raised lots of questions and identified many important gaps and considerations in the context of the home environment and the exacerbation of asthma, and how the identification of triggers in the home may assist health professionals and asthma suffers in managing asthma.
