I recently came across a YouTube video featuring Shri. Ravi Sharma , a distinguished alumnus of IIT Roorkee, and I must say, his words left a lasting impact on me.
His journey and insights are truly inspiring. One quote that particularly stood out was: "We are all products of our definitions, exposure, and ability to learn." This perspective really made me reflect on how our experiences and mindset shape who we become.
Another idea that really resonated with me was his powerful definition of "bada kaam" (big tasks) and "chota kaam" (small tasks), which completely shifted my perspective.
Mr. Sharma also emphasized the importance of having a clear vision and mission in life, and his statement "Whatever you decide will happen, if it doesn't happen, then you have not decided" was mind-blowing. It’s a reminder of how crucial commitment and clarity are in achieving our goals.
I highly recommend watching the full video — it’s worth your time!

4 Learnings from being the master of ceremonies (emcee) for an event at Jai Hind College with chief guest, Mr. Gautam Adani on September 05, 2024.
1.Time is of essence: Know your event flow clearly, so that you can facilitate the event with clarity and confidence. Efficiency is of immense value and it enables you to leverage the time effectively.
2.Stay calm: There is a lot of buzz around you - in and around the auditorium. Stay focussed, smile and be calm.
3.Be grateful: When feelings of nervousness begin to rise, I remind myself how grateful I am to God, that I can present myself before others. I am very thankful to the entire leadership of the college who gave me this opportunity and responsibility.
4. Enjoy the moment: When you enjoy the moment, your audience enjoys it with you. The audience wants to celebrate with you. So create that environment in your voice and body language.
Hope you found this helpful.

Exit ticket , Session 2 Activity!
Back to another fun weekend session. While we are on a journey of exploring our "Khudi" i.e. knowing yourself, we are also learning to be more proactive and driven in participating in such mini tasks as desired by Amal Academy.
1. Something new I learnt that I didn't know was the concept of "Connecting the dots". "You can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards", as stated by Steve Jobs. This simple sentence, yet a profound one holds so much depth in making us realize that we have to trust that these dots (all our past events) will somehow connect in our future, molding us into someone we aspire to be.
2. One question I still have is that why it is always hard to take the first step in trying something new, especially when you have made up the mindset to do so? Why does it still scare us?
3. I would like to tag my batchmate Maryam Arif Rana as to encourage her in her journey alongside me and knowing her better through this fellowship. And also can't simply forget to mention Ma'am Swaiba Zaidi, and Ma'am Aiman Qadeer, my supportive program facilitators. Looking forward to learning more from you guys!
