Do you know that for some indications Osseointegration can have an even greater positive impact on a patient's life when compared with a traditional socket prosthesis? Here are a few examples: - High-demand patients such as labourers - Peroneal and tibial neuromas - Compromised soft tissue from infection or trauma - Short residual bone not amenable to a socket Although this last group of patients is still being defined and evaluated, contraindications for surgery generally include a concise bone segment (<4 or 5 cm).
