Senior Manager | Network Services Lead | Accenture Australia

Seven years ago, we made a life-changing decision to move from India to Australia - a decision that was driven by a desire to improve quality of life and acquire global experience. A decision that was supported and enabled by my leaders within #Accenture. As the work anniversary wishes come in, I look at this picture of the moment when my family bid me farewell in 2017, and take some time to reflect on the journey. The change was challenging, I had to start over—rebuilding credibility, forming a new network at work, and creating a circle of friends in a new country. There were moments of doubt, where I wondered, “What if I had stayed?”. Especially through the pandemic, thoughts of helplessness, and even guilt, crept in. But the move wasn’t just about challenges. It also offered immense opportunities—especially global exposure. Working in Australia gave me access to a diverse professional network, new perspectives, and the chance to collaborate on projects that spanned borders. It challenged me to grow, not just as a professional, but as a person navigating a global stage. Through it all, I found strength in my family, who stood steadfast beside me, friends who became family, and colleagues who opened their doors and hearts. They kept me grounded and aligned with the vision I had for a better life, reminding me of why we took this leap. Looking back, I see a journey filled with growth — professionally and personally. These years have reinforced my belief in the importance of resilience, adaptability, and the unwavering support of people who care. To anyone facing a crossroads: Trust in your ability to adapt and lean on those around you. Growth doesn’t come without challenges, but the rewards can be life-changing. Here’s to the next chapter of this adventure, and to the people who make it all worthwhile! #LeadershipJourney #Adaptability #Resilience #GrowthMindset #Gratitude #Abundance #LetThereBeChange

completely relate... and I guess this holds true for anyone who is migrating to a new place... I think technology plays a very important role in being closer to your family now compared to erstwhile ISD calling days. But very inspiring journey of yours and definitely gives a boost
