Breaking news: Software buyers have no time for vendor speed dating. ⏳ In the last two months, we’ve been in the trenches talking to industry leaders, VPs, and pros who graciously dropped some serious knowledge bombs on us. So, here are 3 key takeaways from my chats with mid-market and enterprise leaders: 1️⃣ Software buying = Choosing your own adventure (but with way more paperwork). It’s a multi-stage processing involving multiple teams, vendors, and never ending email chains. Did someone say ‘infinite threads of distraction’? Yep, that too. 2️⃣ Plot twist: The buyer’s not always the end-user! Say Sales is shopping for a shiny new tool - the end-users are sales team/manager however, the procurement being the buying centre plays a role in evaluating it against other vendors on multiple facets. This requires collaboration between the 3 parties (at the minimum) - vendor, end-user and procurement team. So, you've got this triangle of back and forth between sales, procurement, and vendors. It’s like a ping-pong match, without the fun. 3️⃣ While there are many tools on the that offer a sales data room for seller to track different prospects, there's none to help the Procurement teams with vendor aggregation and qualification. Where’s the tool that helps you aggregate and qualify vendors with ease? Spoiler: It’s coming. 😉 At WarmCall, we’re flipping the script.
