We talked about how trouble relaxing can make it hard to receive good things. But what if it goes deeper than that? Maybe your family, your culture, or even the place you grew up all taught you that putting yourself last is the "right" thing to do. Generations of your family might have done the same, without even realizing it. Here's the catch: you can't give from an empty cup! If you're always putting others first, you'll end up feeling drained and resentful. This doesn't mean you're selfish for wanting to receive!
