TOMORROW'S WEBINAR It can sometimes seem, as a paralegal, that your solicitor colleagues are making a lot more money than you. But is this really the case? Join our two experts, Catherine Byers, Associate Director at Morgan LaRoche, and Amanda Hamilton, Patron of NALP, for NALP's webinar tomorrow at 1pm and find out what it really costs to become a solicitor and how much it costs to work as one (yes, it costs money to be a solicitor!). We’ll then compare this with the costs to become, and work as, a paralegal. By the end of the webinar you will have a good understanding of the differences and you’ll be in a better position to decide what’s right for you. Register here:

This just in from Law360 (the leading national legal periodical): AZA has once again made the list of the firms most feared as opposing counsel. It's remarkable that despite having offices in only one city, Houston, we've earned a spot on this prestigious list. The annual report by BTI reveals the top law firms that general counsel and legal leaders fear in litigation. While big names like Quinn Emanuel and Gibson Dunn dominate the list, AZA stands out as an awesome opponent among firms with nationwide presence. In a world where you can hire someone to take you golfing/lunch at the country club, why not hire a firm that the other side will fear? AZA proves its worth as a formidable opponent in the legal arena. Congratulations to the all the firms on this list for this well-deserved recognition! https://lnkd.in/gm-9psCa #LawFirms #Litigation #LegalLeaders #OpposingCounsel #BTIReport

Handling expert witnesses is one of the most complex, yet pivotal aspects of building a strong legal case 💼 Whether selecting an expert or cross-examining the opposite side, here are some essential skills your junior legal team need to hone: 1️⃣ Choosing the right expert: Know how to evaluate credibility and match expertise to your case needs. 2️⃣ Briefing your expert effectively: Avoid missteps that can cause confusion or weaken their testimony. 3️⃣ Challenging opposing experts: Learn strategies to reveal weaknesses without undermining your case. 4️⃣ Leveraging cross-examination techniques: Craft smart, precise questions that expose inconsistences. 5️⃣ Managing courtroom dynamics: Stay in control, even under pressure from seasoned experts. Support your paralegals and solicitor trainees to level up their advocacy skills with our 90-minute masterclass, Handling Expert Witnesses, led by Roy Morgan, seasoned Advocate and Advocacy Trainer. 📅 TOMORROW, 28 November, 12pm GMT.
