Here's a glossary of façade-related terms starting with the letter "Q" that you can use Quarry : The source of stone used in façade / Building construction, such as marble, granite, or limestone. Quadrant Arm: A window stay used to restrict the opening of bottom hung fan light or casement windows. Quadrant Trim : Decorative trim in or integrated in frame that surrounds a window and helps to transition from the window frame to the surrounding wall/sill. Quenched glass: Glass that has been rapidly cooled to increase its strength and durability, often used in modern façade systems. Quirk: A small recess, often V-shaped, at the edge of a moulding. or in stone cladding The mitered corners which are flattened at their edges rather than left sharp. They are designed with a slight radius or chamfer.

Your flooring will only be as good as the foundation on which it's built. Proper floor preparation is crucial and must be done correctly. Taking shortcuts is like building a house with a weak or improperly constructed foundation. No matter how beautiful the house may seem, it will eventually crumble and fall apart. Many flooring problems stem from improper subfloors. Whether due to ignorance or unwillingness to put in the work, taking shortcuts results in higher costs later on.
