🐕️🐾 In PAJ GPS we say: "Protect what you love"... And who doesn't love their pets? 🐾🐕️ In PAJ we know that our collaborators adore their pets. They bring not only great value to everyday life, but they also have an important impact on mental health! Having a furry friend can reduce stress levels and increase overall well-being. Also, with many PAJ collaborators working remotely, their officemates sometimes have a bit more hair than your average desk-mate, but they are the best at assisting them in balancing their work and life by reminding them it's time to eat, go for a walk and play! As such, we believe that caring for our team goes hand in hand with putting our grain of salt in caring for their pets. That’s why we provide our collaborators with free GPS trackers for their furry teammates! 💚🐾 They've shared some pictures of their happy friends wearing the latest fashion trend (their GPS) with us!!! Caring for dogs is a beautiful and happy experience for humans. The sad part is watching them show signs of ageing. If they could just speak to you, what would your senior fur buddy like to say, and how can you help them go through this period with ease? 1️⃣ “I can’t see that well anymore.” - Vision Loss To ensure their safety, clear the clutter on the floor and mark rooms with different scents and rugs with various textures. 2️⃣ “I’m not ignoring you. I just can’t hear that much.” - Difficulty in Hearing Teach them hand signals to help them understand your commands better. 3️⃣ “I would like to play, but I can’t move too well because I’m in pain.” - Less Interest in Moving Take them on shorter but more frequent walks and take breaks if necessary. 4️⃣ “I need a little bit more grooming now.” - Changes in Coat, Skin and Nails Add fish oil to their diet and brush their coat more frequently to help stimulate hair growth. 5️⃣ “I get more confused and anxious these days.” - Behavioural Changes Be patient and take them to the vet to rule out other illnesses. Ageing in dogs is natural. With extra care and love, you can make this phase as comfortable for them as possible. #petangelfunerals #SeniorDogCare #PetHealth #AgeingPets

Struggling with focus and getting things done? Let your pet help! 🐕🦺 Getting distracted by pets while working from home had become a common "complaint" during the pandemic. And if that’s not an option, why not look at some cute animals online? 🐶💕 We now have evidence it’s not just an excuse to take a break. In a new research study (link in comment), participants engaged in various activities with a specially trained poodle, from playing fetch to simply giving a gentle massage. The emotional lift was undeniable, with people feeling less tired and more upbeat. But why spend precious research time and funding to prove what pet lovers have known for ages? We even have recognized emotional support animals. 🧠 Here’s the kicker: monitoring brain activity with EEG during these interactions showed a significant increase in brain waves that are known to be associated with attention and concentration. Meaning, dogs don't just make us happier… they actually help us focus better. This research underscores the impact that animal-assisted interventions can have, not only enhancing our mood but also bolstering mental performance. So, should we truly start calling our four-legged friends our favorite coworkers? 🙂 🐾 --- 🔔 I can help with your mental health-related questions or projects. Petting, walking and playing with a dog decreases stress and increases the power of brain waves associated with relaxation and concentration, a new study published in PLOS One suggests. During grooming, gently massaging or playing with the dog, relative beta-band oscillation strength received a boost, a surge typically linked to heightened concentration. Participants also reported feeling much less fatigued, depressed and stressed after all dog-related activities. "This study demonstrated that specific dog activities could activate stronger relaxation, emotional stability, attention, concentration and creativity by facilitating increased brain activity. In addition, interactions with dogs could decrease stress and induce positive emotional responses" said the study's first author, Onyoo Yoo. #health https://ow.ly/j2L450QXf2N

🐾 Is your dog also into destructive chewing? 🐾 Many pet owners can relate to the frustration of coming home to find their favorite pair of shoes or household items chewed to bits by their furry friend. But fear not! Here are four tips to help prevent destructive chewing and keep both your belongings and your pup safe and happy: 1️⃣ Chew Toys: Provide your dog with a variety of appropriate chew toys to satisfy their natural urge to chew. Opt for durable toys made specifically for chewing to prevent them from turning to your belongings. 2️⃣ Regular Exercise: Ensure your dog gets plenty of physical and mental exercise to help reduce boredom and excess energy, which are common triggers for destructive chewing behavior. Daily walks, playtime, and interactive games can all help keep your pup stimulated. 3️⃣ Calcium Bone: Offer your dog safe and healthy alternatives to chew on, such as calcium bones or dental chews. These not only satisfy their chewing instincts but also promote dental health. 4️⃣ Training and Positive Reinforcement: Invest time in training your dog and use positive reinforcement techniques to encourage good behavior. Reward your pup with treats or praise when they chew on their toys instead of household items, reinforcing the desired behavior. By implementing these tips, you can help curb destructive chewing habits and foster a harmonious relationship between you and your canine companion. 🐶💼 #DogBehavior #ChewPrevention #HappyPup
