The FUTURE is Biocontrol and it's booming in Brazil (3F Strategy) 1. Farmer Driven Approach - High Awareness >90% 2. Fast-track regulatory Approvals - 2 yrs (appropriate) 3. Farmer's Choice - Sustainable solution for biocontrol registrations reach us: mpatil@staphyt.com Staphyt Brasil BioTeam by Staphyt #SustanableAgriculture #InnovativeSolutons #FutureIsBiocontrol
Following our calls with COPA COGECA and IFOAM Organics Europe to speed up access to biocontrol, we invited them to meet Carlos Goulart from the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock of Brazil to hear more about their experience with #biocontrol. 💡 Demand for biocontrol is farmer driven. #Farmers use it because it works and brings stability to production. 👩🌾 💡 When a biocontrol product is registered for authorisation, it is fast-tracked to the front of the queue, assessed, and approved (where appropriate) in 2 years, compared to the almost decade wait European farmers often face. 📋 💡 In the last 2 years, around an additional 100 biological products have been registered for use there and this number grows every year. 🌱 #SustainableAgriculture #InnovativeSolutions #FutureIsBiocontrol Read more here 👇

🙏 Thanks to everyone who came to Wednesday's webinar 👉 Alternative proteins – what’s in it for farmers & land use? – and especially to our panel, Tom MacMillan, Royal Agricultural University, Lydia Collas, Green Alliance, and Stuart Roberts, Farmer You can now view the webinar here: https://lnkd.in/eHxANBwN Livestock production and alternative proteins are likely to sit side-by-side in the coming years, with alternative products taking greater market share than currently. But what might this mean for farmers? And what potential might this present to use more land for carbon sequestration and other needs? Prof Tom MacMillan from the Royal Agricultural University presented findings from a recent report on cultured meat, and Lydia Collas presented the latest Green Alliance report which mapped out the impact on land use of increased alternative protein adoption across 10 European countries, including the UK. Farmer and former NFU deputy president, Stuart Roberts, then gave his reaction before a Q&A.

Is cellular agriculture the next big thing for East Africa? At scale, applications of new protein production (such as cultivated meat, an application of cellular agriculture) can reduce the pressure on conventional producers to meet increasing demand for animal proteins. Together, smallholder farming and new methods of production can optimize the overall protein ecosystem and meet this demand with fewer and better-managed animals than intensive […] The post Is cellular agriculture the next big thing for East Africa? appeared first on Cultivated Meat News . => https://lnkd.in/eZaHkCgy #CultivatedMeat #News #CulturedMeat #Altproteins #Food #FutureOfFood

🚨 Call to Action – Support regulatory change for hemp seed co-products in livestock feed! Hemp seed oil is showing incredible promise in reducing methane emissions from livestock! 🐄🌱 A recent study found that feeding cows 70g of hempseed oil per 1kg of dry matter led to an 18% reduction in methane emissions. This breakthrough could be a game-changer for sustainable farming and climate action. We need your support to make this a reality. Join us in pushing for the adoption of hemp seed as a standard animal feed! 🔗 https://buff.ly/474xHaM 📚 Ref: National Library of Medicine & Federation of International Hemp Organisations #ihemp #hemp #nzhia #nzhemp #industrialhemp #hempindustry #AnimalFeed #NZAgriculture #Sustainability #ActNow #SupportHemp #MethaneMitigation #ClimateAction

The UK government's annual Agriculture in the United Kingdom report revealed a 3.7% decrease in meat production last year, marking the first decline in over a decade. This shift presents increased opportunities for plant-based and alternative proteins. Government data also shows a 14% drop in per capita meat consumption from 2012 to 2022, reaching its lowest level since the 1970s, with red meat consumption particularly affected. Factors such as rising prices, animal welfare concerns, sustainability, and health considerations are influencing consumer choices. Read the report here: https://lnkd.in/eaxXqcYj
