Some major moves from Toby Addison who joined the team at LADbible Group to feature in their ‘Honesty Box’ series! He candidly answered audience questions, offering powerful insights into life as a blind person, sharing his experiences with mental health challenges, valuable learnings, and the joys of dating and building relationships. Since its release on Saturday the content has reached over 1.5 million people, raising awareness of both Tobes’ story and the work of the RNIB! Watching and working behind the scenes on this, we couldn’t be prouder of Tobes for his honesty, vulnerability and authenticity. ID - Toby is sat at a table with a black backdrop lit up with pink lighting behind him. He has his phone in his hand which he is using to read and answer questions using a screen reader. The honesty box is on the table next to him. The female voice is the show’s producer and occasionally asks a question.

In this blog post “Protection = Limited Access,” (https://lnkd.in/eixtK6KT) it explores the importance of setting boundaries to protect your heart and overall well-being. Just as physical barriers protect us in the physical world, emotional barriers can safeguard our mental health. A key focus is on domestic violence awareness, highlighting shocking statistics and the various forms abuse can take, including emotional and financial. We emphasize the need to recognize these signs and seek help. Drawing on a biblical perspective, we reflect on 1 Corinthians 13:4, “Love is patient, love is kind,” reminding readers that true love is nurturing and safe. By setting boundaries and limiting access to harmful influences, you honor yourself and the true nature of love.

How transparent are you? We get caught up in our social feeds of positivity and wins. To the point where it negatively impacts us. It creates a skewed reality where everyone around us seems to be doing so well. It affects our mental health and makes us feel like we aren't progressing. Yasin M.'s content is a breath of fresh air. Not only sharing wins and educating, but also sharing his losses. Telling everyone when things go wrong. These moments are equally as educational and help paint a clearer picture. How transparent are you online? When last did you publicly share something going wrong?

This one will be an interesting session
There is an immense amount of isolation that can come with borderline personality. In addition to the existing stigma around it, several mental health professionals still see people with borderline personality as ‘difficult clients’. Summertime Madness is a support group for people living with Borderline Personality, where we meet once every month (online). We're delving into a crucial aspect of our experiences: the concept of a 'Favorite Person' and how they influence our relationships. Join us as we explore and discuss this topic together. Date and Time: April 25, 2024, 8 PM to 9.30 PM Session Fee: INR 500 To sign up for this month: https://lnkd.in/dipJK4BB #BPD #supportgroup #mentalhealth #community

My career journey began working with Daffodils Therapy Studio. I was an intern! Just a psychology and writing enthusiast. I worked day and night to understand how to work, how to use my thoughts to curate something meaningful for the people. I wanted to write and design my thoughts in a way that people feel it’s only for them. I was tremendously supported by Astha Nagpal, who not only guided me but also helped me discover my true potential. I got to know "what I want to do next." Psychology was something that not only made sense to me but spoke to me in different virtues of life. I got to know what mental well-being is. When everyone was on house arrest during Covid times, Astha started listening circles and hula hoop sessions to provide emotional support to people. And with time, I realized it's not about the job; rather, it's about how impactful you're to the people around you. Be it in the company you're working in or the people you're dealing with outside work culture. The secret to keeping it all in the right place is to keep your mental health upright first before anything else. And in these times of festivities, when we feel home sick or may just long for some puzzled pieces of our heart: this is an initiate to remind you that you’re not alone. All of us have some story to talk about and some insight to gain. Join this listening circle and be a part of the community where everyone feels heard and hence, loved :) Happy Festivities! #MentalHealthMatters #CareerGrowth #PersonalGrowth #Mentorship #SelfCare #Impact #Purpose
In the spirit of Mental Health Day, we're introducing "Navigating Festive Blues: A Listening Circle" to give a voice to the parts of ourselves that often go unheard. During festive seasons, there can be pressure to maintain a happy facade, share picturesque family moments, and keep the energy high for social media. Yet, for many, this time brings feelings that don’t fit into that narrative. We believe it's essential to create space for these overlooked and silenced emotions. This listening circle is here to honor the voices of those who may not feel the joy the season demands. To register your interest, simply scan the QR code and fill out the Google form. We look forward to seeing you with us!

As we bid adieu to Men's Mental Health month and Pride month, here are a few reminders for all of us: - Even though the month is ending, we shouldn't stop spreading awareness about men's mental health and the queer community. - Stop belittling other people's struggles (even if you're unaware of it), be compassionate. - Simply acknowledging the need for it, isn't enough, start practising it. - Find appropriate resources, and increase your understanding on the matter. - Ask the people "How can I better support you?", "What do you need from me?", than assuming. - Practice active listening. - Hold a non-judgemental space. - Respond, don't react. - Be a better ally and be respectful. - It is all right for you to not know it completely. However, show your readiness to learn. - Start talking about things, with your family, relatives, friends, and colleagues. It gets the ball rolling. - Call out people who are disrespectful, show them why they are wrong, make them aware why cognizance is essential. What other ways do you indulge in, to spread awareness, and hold a non-judgemental space? Comment below! #mentalhealth #pridemonth #mensmentalhealthmonth #psychologist
