"Design is the body language of your marketing. Don’t slouch.” - Mark King Our design team at AuraSeed is always creating magic. They have consistently been able to bring fresh, engaging design and flare to this luxury accessory brand 🌌 Design is a critical component of your email strategy. Without an in-house email designer, it's often an area that gets overlooked. Email serves as a reflection of your brand. Just like you invest time and effort into production, brand decks, websites, TikTok and content, your emails should uphold your brand's identity. In today's competitive landscape, impactful designs are essential. If your emails fail to capture attention, have consistency with your other channels or convey professionalism, it could harm your reputation and your audiences overall sentiment of the quality of your product. We all make subconscious associations. We see all too often that simply upgrading the design and anatomy of an email alone can boost conversions without even touching the copy. This Question Is Wrong! Alright guys, this question in itself is not the right question. Yes, it's kind of a wrong question. Asking that "Which comes first, branding or marketing?" We'll reshape it as we explain. Marketing is anything and everything done by a brand to create awareness. We're all okay on that right? So, what's Branding? The BIG Question Know this! Branding dives deeper. Simply put, it's the tenets, strategies and practices that makes the "awareness" (goal of marketing) impactful. Do we get that? Now, Visual aspect of Branding is the overall appearance of the brand with regards to the communicating materials being used by the brand…. It is what summarizes many of the marketing solutions as a Visually communicable material. Remember those Maths classes - Quadratic Formula? And the final answer. How do you arrive at the final answer without the workings and calculation? So which one should come first? But the major things are played by other members of the brand. Branding as a whole would encompass the overall strategy you create a unique identity for your brand with . Meaning, the ways you create a unique identity for your products and services in the minds of your consumer. You can't ignore : tone of voice, customer service relationship, products , pricing, name, tagline, mission, value, USPs, visual Identity ,when we talk about branding. The core of branding is messaging and storytelling, not design and packaging. It's amazing how many designers and businesses get so fixated on pixels and aesthetics rather than message and story. If your packaging and design do not amplify an interesting, quirky, funny, scary or mysterious story, it will never tug on emotions. If it doesn't tug on emotions, people won't engage for long. Bottomline here is; people make more emotional decisions than rational ones. Find an emotional hook in people's minds, and hang your branding on that. I'll forget the beauty of the Shreddies packaging, but I won't be forgetting this story so soon.

It’s not enough to have “good” design or a clean look anymore. Marketing design needs more dimension with deeper insights to create real impact. These 5 things are the most effective contributors to marketing design that I’ve found: 1. Never design in a silo Get input from the people who understand your product and your audience best. The more you can understand their complaints, confusion, and their priorities (aka, the data) the more effective your designs. 2. Use every piece to build the brand Every visual – internal or external – has the opportunity to reinforce the brand’s identity and value OR to dilute it. Don’t let a “I need this real quick” request lead to the latter. 3. Communicate one idea at a time The more you try to say, the less people engage. Even if you have a lot of information to get across, one primary idea, benefit, or call to action should rise above all the other content. 4. Connect with emotions, not just minds It’s natural to want to list out features and value props just in case one of them is what your audience is looking for. But, since they’re all people, retail shoppers and B2B buyers alike make buying decisions based on emotions. Will they feel more competent, less stressed, or more autonomous once they have your product? Paint this aspirational picture. 5. Use design trends carefully Trends can be fun to jump on and try out, but be careful where you incorporate them. Does the trend fit with the intended lifecycle and audience for the piece? An on-trend social post can gain more attention now, but an overly trendy logo or website could be out of date in a few months. What other factors would you add to this list?

Generic templates are hurting your brand. Your visuals should transform, not hold you back. Creators face this daily struggle: → Running out of creative ideas for visuals. → Relying on overused, outdated templates. → Watching their audience disengage because their content feels generic.
