When I discovered Grayce's mission to help people navigate those challenges, I jumped at the opportunity to be part of it." 💜About Lee: Lee spent a large portion of his career working for design agencies and building web experiences for clients. The work was always new and exciting, but the focus was on delivering something quickly that looked amazing and would be handed off and never seen again. Eventually, he made the move to a product startup focused on surf-travel for the opportunity to do work with longevity in mind and focus on longer term business goals over time. Every year I do an annual gathering of all the people who worked on my team when I led Network for Techstars. So many companies, leaders and managers think of former employees as transient. Reframe that view. Look at them as connections for life helping you in this role in the next (and you doing the same for them). Former employees are great sources of inspiration and mentorship, business development leads and rebound hires. A network doesn't end with employment. Your engagement with former employees shouldn't either.

Bit of a late post - A few weeks ago, I completed a Business Development Fellowship with Earlywork 🚀 In the span of 3 weeks, I was taught the foundational skills in tech sales, such as prospecting, cold calling, LinkedIn and so much more. My 3 biggest takeaways from the program were: 1. Resilience is your best friend, helping you bounce back stronger when things get tough💪 2. The importance of building genuine connections; it's all about having real conversations and finding common ground🤝 3. Be curious and always ask questions, because that's how you uncover hidden gems that lead to success🤔 With the help of Earlywork, I will soon be starting a new role as a Business Software Consultant at BrightHR!
