What is CORS and Why Does It Occur? CORS (Cross-Origin Resource Sharing) is a security feature implemented in web browsers to prevent unauthorized access to resources from different origins (domains, protocols, or ports). When your SAPUI5 app hosted on one domain tries to access an SAP BTP service or external API hosted on another domain, the browser may block the request due to CORS policy. This CORS issue is not limited to SAP BTP and SAPUI5; it also occurs in other web development scenarios. Solution: 1. Configure Destination Service in sap btp then configure it on xs-app.json in ui5. 2. If you're accessing a non-SAP backend API, configure the backend to include the Access-Control-Allow-Origin header in its responses. ❌ DON'T do: * Quickest fix you can make some extension to your browser . * This fix only applies to your local development. * But once you publish your application, you can’t expect your users to install the plugin too. 🚀 Fix CORS Issues in SAP BTP and SAPUI5!
