We take pride in contributing to sustainable infrastructure solutions! One example is our work on the Lake Charles Clean Energy site in Louisiana, where we partnered with Turner Industries Group to construct a 2,007-linear-foot “Open Cell” sheet pile bulkhead along the Calcasieu River. Using PND Engineers' patented “Open Cell” system, we installed 61 flat sheet pile arches and anchor tail walls, totaling approximately 1,776 tons of piling. This innovative approach supports the Port of Lake Charles' clean energy initiatives while providing durable shoreline stability. We are committed to delivering high-quality construction projects that align with environmental and operational goals. 🔷 #orionmarine #oneorion #marineconstruction #marine #construction #predictableexcellence #louisiana #sustainability

🏇 The confluence chamber gates have been opened and the horses bolted – well, in our case, wastewater! It’s now flowing freely from our large interceptor pipes and into the Māngere processing plant for the first time. Opening the gates was no mean feat with the first weighing in at 3.5 tonnes and the second a mere half tonne. It’s been three years of hard mahi, complex engineering design and construction to get to this point. And, unlike our Central Interceptor Tunnel Boring Machine breakthroughs which are the mane attraction on our calendar, there was no cheering crowd at this do. But, hold your horses, this was still a hot to trot deal for our team as it means we’re a nose closer to section one of the Central Interceptor tunnel being ready to be operational by the end of this year. And, the end result 👉 fewer wet weather overflows into waterways and beaches. Now, that’s gotta be worth a cheer! 🙌 Ghella Abergeldie Joint Venture (GAJV) #CentralInterceptor #infrastructure #construction #tunnelling #tunneling #tunnels #engineering #WaterIndustry #wastewater

Is this definition still relevant? #civilengineering #powerinnature #ThomasTredgold The full quote by Thomas Tredgold, as originally written in 1828: “Civil engineering is the art of directing the great sources of power in nature for the use and convenience of man, as the means of production and of traffic in states, both for external and internal trade, as applied in the construction of roads, bridges, aqueducts, canals, river navigation, and docks for internal intercourse and exchange, and in the construction of ports, harbors, moles, breakwaters, and lighthouses, as means of communication with other nations.”

I wrote a short piece for the Faulconer Construction blog about Earth Day and how we're doing our best to reduce the environmental impact of our work. Check it out!
Happy Earth Day! It may seem antithetical for a site contractor to celebrate Earth Day. Our scope of work on projects often includes clearing land with heavy machinery. That said, our field and equipment maintenance teams take daily steps to minimize our work’s environmental impact. Two of the most impactful revolve around erosion & sediment controls and the impact of our equipment fleet. Read more on our blog, The Woodstove.

Another successful use of soil mixing on this site in Kings Lynn. The existing ground on-site consisted of deep layers of peat and lacked the required strength to construct the new service roads and install the infrastructure for the new industrial estate. #DeepSoilMixing #SoilMixing #SoilStabilisation #GroundStabilisation #GroundRemediation #CivilEngineering #GroundEngineering #GeotechnicalEngineering #Construction #Infrastruture #Highways
Deep Soil Mixing Ltd has successfully completed a 12-month project for their client Norfolk County Council Highways Department, working for main contractor Octavius, using soil mixing as the ground improvement solution on the new roads on the Nar Ouse Enterprise Zone in King’s Lynn. The deep soil mixing solution was proposed by Norfolk County Council Highways and the design of the solution was undertaken by Deep Soil Mixing Ltd and Ayesa - UK and Ireland. Over the course of approximately one year, Deep Soil Mixing Ltd worked closely with Octavius to deliver the ground improvement solutions needed to prevent long-term settlement of the ground and enable the construction of the new service roads to the new business park and industrial buildings. https://lnkd.in/geZb2f4s #SoilMixing #DeepSoilMixing #GroundRemediation #CivilEngineering #Thisiscivilengineering #Construction #SoilStabilisation #GroundStabilisation #GroundEngineering #Infrastructure #Highways

Today we celebrate World Water Day, an annual day of observance focusing on the importance of freshwater and raising awareness of the 2.2 billion people living without access to safe water. This year’s theme is ‘Leveraging Water for Peace.’ Since our founding, Delve Underground has been at the forefront of providing cost-effective, practical, and innovative engineering solutions for water conveyance. In the past two decades alone, we have successfully delivered design services for more than 150 water #tunnels and pipelines. Our expertise extends to various aspects of #underground engineering, including pressure tunnel design, tunnel rehabilitation, and pipeline conduit design in a wide range of ground conditions, from soft ground to hard rock. Through our work, we see firsthand how water can unite communities when managed collaboratively. We leverage our decades of engineering experience to be a stabilizing force for development through sustainable water solutions. Our work is guided by the understanding that water is a shared, life-giving resource. #worldwaterday #delveunderground
