Perception is a choice. We all have reasons to believe anything. As we celebrate Easter, let us reflect on what this holiday means to us. For some, it's a time to make Easter eggs and baskets, attend a beautiful Sunday church service, and enjoy time with loved ones. Whatever your beliefs, it's important to challenge them and verify their meaning. Les Strobel's book, The Case for Christ, is a fantastic example of challenging beliefs and finding evidence for what you may not want to believe. As we celebrate this holiday, let us remember the commitment of one human and spiritual man who taught us what sacrifice, love, and obedience look like. Let us all have a wonderful Easter holiday celebrating what this day means to us. And as we do, let us consider other perspectives that may add value as well. #celebrate #love #perspective

Thanksgiving is a time for gratitude and togetherness. It's a day to reflect on the blessings in our lives, big and small. While the holiday has roots in a harvest celebration shared by Pilgrims and Native Americans in the 17th century, its meaning has evolved over time. Today, it's a chance to connect with loved ones, share a meal, and express appreciation for all that we have. It's also a day of mourning and reflection for Native American communities. The traditional narrative of the first Thanksgiving often glosses over the complex history of colonization and the displacement of Native peoples. For many Native Americans, Thanksgiving serves as a reminder of the genocide, land dispossession, and cultural erasure that their ancestors endured. It's a day to honor their resilience and to advocate for justice and recognition. It's important to acknowledge this history and to understand the diverse perspectives surrounding Thanksgiving. By doing so, we can move towards a more inclusive and respectful understanding of this holiday. Wishing you and yours a happy and meaningful Thanksgiving. ✌🏽 Image: "Thanksgiving with the Indians" by N.C. Wyeth. #thanksgiving #family #nativeamericanheritagemonth #history #colonization

Easter customs and traditions vary across different cultures and regions, but some common practices include: Easter Eggs: The tradition of decorating eggs is believed to symbolize new life and fertility. Eggs are often dyed, painted, or decorated in various ways and are exchanged as gifts or used in Easter egg hunts. Easter Bunny: In many cultures, especially in Western countries, the Easter Bunny is a popular symbol associated with Easter. It is a folklore figure who delivers Easter eggs and treats to children on Easter Sunday. Easter Meals: Families often gather for a special meal on Easter Sunday, which may include traditional dishes such as roasted lamb, ham, or other seasonal foods. Church Services: Easter Sunday is marked by special church services, including sunrise services and Easter liturgies, where Christians come together to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ through prayers, hymns, and sermons. Easter Parades and Festivities: Some communities host Easter parades or festivals featuring floats, costumes, music, and other festive activities to celebrate the holiday. Overall, Easter is a time of joy, hope, and renewal for Christians, symbolizing the triumph of life over death and the promise of salvation. It is also a time for families and communities to come together in celebration and reflection. #softwaredevelopment #processautomation #easter #webhosting
