Today, I visited Black Seed Bagels in Williamsburg, New York as part of my #WorkFuel series. See my review below.
The coffee that Black Seed Bagels uses is the medium roast by Stumptown Coffee Roasters. Generally, I'm a fan of Stumptown. But I have to say I wasn't impressed.
The taste was light to watery with some nice notes of leather. It might have been the batch or something of that sort as usually, the taste is much more distinct.
I will give them the benefit of the doubt here and try again. However, what I have to disagree with is the price. As you saw in previous posts of mine, $4.25 for a large cup of regular Joe is just too much. Not a good look. For both companies.
Well, what Black Seed does really well is their bagels and I encourage everyone to check them out for that - deliciously made with all sorts of different toppings.
Although they have a nice outdoor seating area, the environment is not the best for work. As I typed that, I wondered if I should include if the place has Wifi or not. 𝗟𝗲𝘁 𝗺𝗲 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄!
Definitely check out the bagels - forget the coffee!
