We took 10% of our Draper University & Stellar Development Foundation grant and sponsored the Eth Pura Vida hackathon. This provided a very definite deadline to have the first version of our product (and the documentation ready). Here's what happened: 55 developers registered for the hackathon. 36 attended our Workshop. 35 actually participated across 8 teams. 4 on our track. They built real solutions for: 🏠 House rentals 🌾 Agriculture 🔒 Privacy-focused apps 🚗 Revenue-sharing for Uber drivers 💥 This was the first time we saw our product in action, and it worked! The community engagement was incredible, and we got to see how our API can solve real-world problems. We even have a Tg channel now! (25 and counting!) Next Steps: We collected a lot of feedback, we are currently documenting everything, and will refine our product and backlog for the next iterations. Heading to San Francisco for the Draper Embark Program to keep pushing Trustless Work forward. We're building a future where payments are trustless, secure, and efficient through smart escrows. Have you ever participated in a hackathon? A hackathon is a blend of the words "hack" and "marathon," where software developers, designers, engineers, project managers, and others come together to brainstorm ideas, develop prototypes, and create solutions within a short time frame. We are currently taking part in the Subscription App Hackathon https://lnkd.in/gbuCTqfz organized by MeltingHack and RevenueCat. At the kick-off event on August 30 in Tokyo, participants introduced themselves. Those with ideas for an app they wanted to develop presented their concepts, while others, eager to contribute but without a specific idea, shared what skills they could bring to a team. Some teams were already formed, with members planning to participate together. During the networking session that followed, those still looking for a team had the chance to meet others with similar interests, and in a short span of time, teams were quickly assembled. Our team consists of people who had never met before. We started without knowing anything about each other - our backgrounds, experience levels, or even how much time we could commit to the hackathon. Since this is a voluntary event, the time each member can dedicate and the frequency of communication varies depending on individual work and personal commitments. We primarily communicate via Discord, except for on-site development days. This sometimes makes timely communication challenging, and during the course of the hackathon, we’ve had a new member join and other unexpected changes. Nevertheless, we are all working at our own pace, united by the common goal of releasing our app by Demo Day and submitting it for RevenueCat's Ship-a-ton https://lnkd.in/gxBP4x6w competition. #BuildInPublic

Update on the JSmastery hackathon project. I completed the project and submitted the portfolio website. Overall, it was fun, and it showcased areas for improvement on the front-end side.
