This looks very interesting. Climate crises are intensifying, and with them comes a surge in human trafficking. During a recent Stop Trafficking Worldwide CIC event, we emphasised that environmental disasters such as the 2011 Horn of Africa famine, island nations facing rising sea levels, the 2010 Haiti earthquake, Typhoon Haiyan in 2013, the 2022 Pakistan floods, the 2019–2020 Australian bushfires, and the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami and so on create ideal conditions for traffickers.
When communities are displaced and infrastructure crumbles, traffickers exploit the chaos, targeting those in desperate need. As a result, this severe human rights violation, already affecting millions, becomes even more devastating in times of crisis.
Would be great to see the output.
Keep up the good work.
