Survey Invitation 📝 The Australian Government Department of Health and Aged Care is supporting the development of clinical guidelines for restorative care as part of the new Support at Home (SAH) program. We are seeking valuable insights from professionals like you, who have experience using the Integrated Assessment Tool (IAT), to help identify individuals who may benefit from the restorative care pathway. 🔗 How to Contribute: Please share your valuable feedback by accessing the survey https://zurl.co/YpMT or using the QR code. We know that healthcare inequality can have a profound impact on individuals and communities. That's why we've made it our mission to identify and address inequalities within local services. Through our collaborative efforts, we've been able to combine national metrics with local data from NHS, council, and third sector partners to gain a deeper understanding of the challenges facing our communities and work towards improving equity and accessibility in healthcare. Our case study highlights our work in improving equity and equality in maternity and neonatal care, and we're proud to have played a role in making healthcare more accessible to everyone. https://lnkd.in/eNKTXjhk #DataDrivenHealthcare #CollaborativeHealthcare #HealthcareImprovement #AccessToHealthcare #CommunityHealth #HealthcareDataAnalytics #NHS

⭐ A new kind of prescription: civic engagement ⭐ Health professionals are 12-23% less likely to vote than the general population. Registered nurses are 10% less likely to vote than the general population. What does it mean for our healthcare system when health professionals — the people on the floors of our hospitals and clinics who see the real impact of policy on our patients and our institutions — don’t vote? Low voter turnout is a critical issue that affects community health. States with more voting access tend to have better health outcomes. A more civically engaged community increases government accountability, promotes inclusive policy-making, and improves health policies. Together, we can build a healthier democracy. ❤️ Join us the #NurseTheVote campaign to learn low-lift ways we can heal our communities: https://lnkd.in/g7CWi9-e

More Ontario municipalities are looking into implementing PACE, an approach to long-term care that provides seniors with consistent medical and social supports outside of long-term care facilities. It's expanding across the Halton region and other municipalities want to have it too. Often, seniors move to long-term care facilities, not because they have greater medical needs, but because they are lonely and want social activities, or they need help with daily tasks such as meal preparation, says Rosalie Wyonch, a senior policy analyst at the think tank C.D. Howe Institute who focuses on health policy. “When people don’t have access to [social activities and community support], they can end up in long-term care ahead of time,” she said. “That’s both not where they want to be, and it’s more expensive for the government.” Read more from Meagan Gillmore here: https://lnkd.in/gmPCZKFx
