Tomorrow is the Ball State University Cardinal Job Fair! The Cardinal Job Fair holds a special place in my heart because it’s where I met Marques Fisher back in 2009 (or 2008). Even though we didn’t have a job to offer…just a free student membership, that connection turned into something much more valuable. To this day, I tell students about Marques and how intentional he was about his involvement with the Indiana CPA Society. He didn’t just sign up as a student member—he jumped in, attending events, volunteering, and building connections. I encourage every student to attend recruiting events like this, not just for the potential job offers, but to meet people and build relationships. Engage with the professionals you meet, follow up, and if they offer to have coffee or a chat—take them up on it! Your future career isn’t just about landing a job; it’s about building a network. So, there is no better time to start than now. If you need a pep talk before an interview or event, Anyah E. Cork & I are here for you! #futureCPA #relationships

P. Brijlall ( WSIB ) ANTISEMITISM, HATRED, AND RASESS; After a workplace accident, WSIB put me through hell and made my injuries twice as worse permanently then robbed me of my benefits just because of the colour of my skin. Sandra Di Carlo the case manager took me out from physio therapy that was helping me with my recovery and sent me to wsib Doctor and physio therapy that made my injuries twice as worse permanently. Deb Remekie, The lady at WSIB that robbed me of my benefit, she said that I can sell jewelry, she thinks because I am black I can steal jewelry and sell, so she decided to rob me of my benefit. And it's not a joke she said it verbally and in writing. And believed it or not the APPEALS TRIBUNAL agreed with her without a doubt or any question Atal. The LLT team recently engaged in the WEOC’s Fall Job Fair, a valuable event organized by the University Center for Academic and Workforce Development (UCAWD) at the State University of New York (SUNY). This initiative offers a range of free academic and vocational training programs to individuals. At the fair, we interacted with a diverse group of bilingual students possessing varied training, work experience, and CDL B driver's licenses. Our team actively promoted both part-time and full-time opportunities, aiming to support students in their career pursuits. Many attendees expressed interest in discussing their chosen fields with us, seeking insights and guidance. We welcomed their inquiries, providing our expertise and assistance to aid in their career development journey. It was a fruitful experience connecting with motivated individuals at the event.
