Working with high-potential leaders taught me something profound: The higher you climb, the harder it gets to hear the truth. Sheryl Sandberg captures this perfectly: "If you walk in the room and say 'here's the answer,' you're not giving anyone else any room to say anything." I've seen this pattern repeatedly in leadership development: ↳ New leaders invite discussion ↳ Experienced leaders give answers ↳ Great leaders create space for truth The best development programs don't just teach leadership skills. They create safe spaces for authentic dialogue. Because sometimes, the most valuable thing a leader can say is: "What do you think?"
