Emily's Top Tip: Take Control of Your Ad Copy. Did you know that Google AI can create and publish headlines and descriptions for your ads? It’s all thanks to the ‘Automatically Created Assets’ setting. While it can save time, it might not always align with your brand’s voice. Want full control over your ad copy? ✍️ Turn this setting off and ensure every headline and description reflects your brand perfectly. Your audience deserves the best version of your message! 💡

I am sure you have noticed it… Probably even became annoyed with it sometimes. When creating the copy for your Ads, despite the 54 changes to your Headlines, the Ad Strength does not turn to “Excellent”! But does Ad Strength really matter? For performance, not really. According to Google it is merely a diagnostic tool. Ad Strength is not used in the auction. Now, should you absolutely dismiss it? My answer is no. You should pay attention to it once it is a useful compass for relevance and diversity. You should strive to make great ads and compelling copy, and that normally results in a “Good” or “Excellent” ad strength. So use it, but don’t obsess over it.

There’s a simple equation that determines whether your ads will be profitable. It goes like this: - The more you talk about your service, the less people will buy - The less you talk about your service, the more people will buy Instead of focusing on your service, focus on what people will GET after using it. But how do you focus on what people will get? Well, you have to write a crazy-good ad copy. How to write crazy-good ad copy? By understanding your audience better than they understand themselves. You have to create a vivid picture of them going through your service. Be extremely detailed: - How did they feel before? - How do they feel after experiencing it? - Did you solve their problem? - Did you help them reach their desired outcome? Answer those, and you’ve already written a killer ad copy. It’s that simple. See it for yourself.

Ever caught yourself clicking an ad just because you had to know what was on the other side? 🤔 My research this week is based on what attracts people to click on an ad using the Open Loop strategy. Still not sure if it's a secret weapon in digital marketing or deceptive. Intrigue is a powerful tool. When we encounter an incomplete story or an unanswered question, our brains seek closure. That's the open loop at work. By crafting your ad copy to tease a solution or an insight without giving everything away, you nudge people to click through for the resolution. 👁️ It's not about withholding information. It's about sparking curiosity to drive engagement. But remember, the loop must be closed. Deliver on your promise once they've clicked. That's how trust is built over time. P.S. Ever clicked an ad and been let down? Let's change the narrative. Quality and curiosity can coexist. P.S.S I asked DALL-E to generate an image for me around this topic. Did it work? 😂 #DigitalMarketing #MarketingTips #ContentStrategy #EngagementStrategies
