This Thanksgiving, we're reflecting on gratitude—not just for the season, but as a mindset that shapes how we connect, work, and grow together. Here are three things we’re especially grateful for this year: Our community: The relationships we’ve built with colleagues, clients, and friends remind us of what truly matters. Trust and connection: Your trust motivates us to create meaningful work that supports your growth and success. Moments that matter: From shared laughter to inspiring conversations, these moments enrich our journey. Wishing you a Thanksgiving filled with warmth, joy, and appreciation. Let’s carry this gratitude into the months ahead and create new opportunities together.

Today is Canadian Thanksgiving; a day to pause and reflect on what we are grateful for. But Thanksgiving isn’t the only day to consider the power of gratitude. A study done by Glassdoor found that 70% of employees would feel better about themselves if their boss was more grateful for the work they’ve done. They also found that 53% of employees would stay at their company longer if they felt more daily appreciation from their leaders. With that in mind, I propose you turn gratitude into a KPI. Like any behaviour, if you measure it, you are more likely to do it. Here’s how: ➡️ Make a list of all of the people that report up to you. ➡️ Make a separate list of your teammates. ➡️ Starting at the top of each list, each day give one person a compliment or acknowledgement of a piece of work you observe them do well. ➡️ Once you make your way through the lists, start again at the top. If you share one positive comment per day you will have shared 50 pieces of gratitude by the end of 2024. That is sure to make an impact on team culture.

Happy World Gratitude Day 2024! Today, I’m making it a priority to reflect on all the things I’m grateful for, and the list is long! First and foremost, I’m grateful for family and friends who keep me grounded and lift me up every single day. Their unwavering support is the foundation for everything I do. To my HR peers around the globe—thank you for your dedication to making workplaces better for everyone. Your passion for people, your tireless work, and your empathy inspire me daily. We are all in this together, shaping the future of work with care and intention. I’m also immensely grateful for the amazing people I have the honor of working with at TrustRadius. Together, we’ve celebrated recent successes that wouldn’t have been possible without the dedicated, talented, and truly awesome team members we have. You are not just coworkers; you are inspiring humans who bring your best selves to work every day. To my fellow leaders and colleagues, thank you for your trust, collaboration, and commitment. We’ve built something special, and it’s because of all of you. For those that are close to me, you know that gratitude for me isn’t an annual reflection; it’s an everyday practice. Taking a moment to sit in gratitude daily helps keep me focused on: What I've had the opportunity to experience, rather than what I haven't. What I've had the opportunity to influence, rather than what I haven't. What I've had the opportunity to improve, rather than what I haven't. Who I've had the opportunity to meet, rather than who I haven't. Where I've had the opportunity to go, rather than where I haven't. Gratitude is powerful. At first glance, we often see what's tangible: our job titles, deadlines, and the blinking notifications that demand our attention. But during this season of gratitude, ask yourself, "What do I really see?" Seeing, in its truest form, goes beyond the surface. It invites us to delve deeper, to recognize the richness in our experiences, and to appreciate the tapestry of connections, opportunities, and growth around us. This perspective shift transforms ordinary moments into extraordinary ones, highlighting the gratitude that surrounds us each day. During Thanksgiving, we are reminded to slow down and look beyond what we typically notice—to see the support of our colleagues, the encouragement of mentors, and the resilience within ourselves. We are urged to see the potential for innovation and collaboration rather than obstacles.
