Flight Path to Success: Isaac Lee's Transition from Aviator to Executive From the heart of Lubbock, TX, to the skies as a commanding officer and aviator in the Marine Corps, Isaac Lee's journey is nothing short of inspirational. Joining the Marines in 1997, Isaac dedicated 20 years of his life, spanning seven deployments, to serving our country with unparalleled commitment and bravery. But Isaac's story doesn't end with his retirement from the Marines. It's just the beginning of another remarkable chapter. Adapting to change, he ventured into the world of business, where he is currently the Senior Vice President of Operations for a burgeoning private retail company, revolutionizing express car washes, gas, and convenience stores. With 23 locations thriving under his leadership and 11 more on the horizon for 2024, Isaac's impact on the industry is undeniable. Beyond the boardroom, Isaac continues to serve, lending his wisdom to the Marine Executive Association (MEA) and Support The Enlisted Project (STEP), and guiding future leaders through his business consulting practice. Yet, it's his upcoming memoir, 'Hangar 4,' that promises to unveil the raw and real essence of his military life, offering an unfiltered glimpse into the highs and lows of a hero's journey. Isaac is a fervent advocate for mental health support among veterans, drawing from his own experience of navigating the vast sea of post-military life. His philosophy? Focusing on "the situation, not a job," leveraging his skills to make a meaningful impact. Residing in San Diego, CA, Isaac's life outside the boardroom and beyond the base is filled with the joys of family time with his wife and two children, DIY projects, and the thrill of sports. His story is a testament to the power of resilience, adaptation, and finding one's purpose in every chapter of life. Let's celebrate Isaac Lee—a true leader, visionary, and advocate for change. Here's to more chapters in the incredible journey of a man who's flown the skies and now, making waves on the ground. 🚀🌊 👉 Find Isaac's full story via the link in comments below! #VeteranLeader #Inspiration #MilitaryToBusiness #MentalHealthAdvocate

I recently hit 10 years in the USAF. Shew! Here's 10 things I'd tell 2Lt Baumann on Commissioning day: 1) There is plenty of room for everyone you know to succeed, including you, ZB. Beware of anyone who treats this differently. 2) Your strengths will not shine every time, but don't worry, because when they do, it will be very clear and rewarding. 3) Every person you encounter is, just like you, nothing but a human-being. Complete with feelings, families, dreams, hardship, and really, a lot more than you can ever know. Kindness, in all sizes, matters. 4) Nobody will remember all these cubicles, keyboards, and trophies. Relationships are way more fun than any of that. 5) You don't have to complete an IRONMAN to finally consider yourself a triathlete. You can -be- anything you want to be. 6) Dream as big as you possibly can with your time-off. 7) The sooner you can get more comfortable with failure the better. I don't just mean small things. I mean swinging BIG... and missing BIG. 8) Uncle Sam's minivan tires are uneven and they will always drift towards bureaucracy. This will wear on you, but just like anything, you (and your teams) can grab the wheel and make as much positive change as you dare to believe in. 9) If you love something, there's a reason for it. Do not let the opinions (or fear of opinions) of others hold you back from that thing. 10) For goodness sake, none of this is that serious!

Honoring the Resilience of Retired Chief Petty Officer David Goggins! Today, I want to spotlight the incredible journey and unyielding spirit of Retired Chief Petty Officer David Goggins. Known for his remarkable achievements as a Navy SEAL, ultramarathon runner, and motivational speaker, Goggins embodies the true essence of perseverance and determination. His famous quotes, "I don't stop when I'm tired, I stop when I'm done", and "If you don't challenge yourself, you don't know yourself" resonates deeply with all who strive to push beyond their limits. It serves as a powerful reminder that true strength is not about avoiding discomfort, but about embracing it and using it as fuel to reach our ultimate goals. Goggins' story is a testament to the power of the human spirit. Whether facing physical challenges, mental barriers, or life's many adversities, his example shows us that with relentless dedication, anything is possible. Let's all draw inspiration from his words and remember that our greatest achievements come from refusing to quit, even when the journey gets tough. #Inspiration #DavidGoggins #Perseverance #Motivation #Leadership #Resilience

In 1938, Winston Churchill became admiral of the world's strongest navy. WWII was about to start, so he instituted a strict rule: Daily naps. 💤 This man was going to lead the Royal Navy against the Nazis and he insisted on taking a 1 hour nap every afternoon. His rationale? Periods of war demand the most from leaders and the intensity lasts for an unknown length of time. In that circumstance, an afternoon nap is the best way to get the most out of the human form. During the war, Churchill would routinely stay up until 1 or 2 am (or later) managing a crisis. He’d sleep soundly until 8 or 9 am, and then take his afternoon nap. This allowed him to work long hours with incredible focus and tenacity. The effectiveness of this strategy on Churchill’s performance inspired his 2nd in command, Admiral Pound, to institute a similar afternoon nap policy. Most founders and CEOs face similar periods of intensity where crises happen at all hours, demanding attention and rapid responses. A nap is not for everyone, but it’s a logical approach if you’re in a role that includes sustained intensity over many years and where long hours combined with health and fitness are key ingredients to success. Do you nap?

A bunker in Siachin Glacier caught fire. Captain Anshuman Singh entered the bunker and took out 4 soldiers but got stuck himself. He was awarded Kirti Chakra today. Anshuman Singh was just 26 years old, resident of Deoria district of Purvanchal. His mother and wife received the award on his behalf. We have been seeing his wife on Internet and it is breaking our heart... However, we all have to agree that Captain Anshuman Singh is a true hero. The story of Captain Anshuman Singh teaches us several profound lessons: 1. Selflessness: True heroism often involves putting the needs and lives of others before your own, as demonstrated by Captain Singh's actions. 2. Courage: Facing extreme danger with bravery, even when the outcome is uncertain, is a powerful act of courage. 3. Sacrifice: Sometimes, great achievements and acts of valor come at a personal cost, highlighting the sacrifices made by those who serve. 4. Honor and Recognition: Recognizing and honoring the bravery and sacrifices of individuals ensures their legacy lives on and serves as an inspiration to others. 5. Duty: Fulfilling one's duty with dedication and commitment, regardless of the risks involved, is a hallmark of true service and patriotism. A real hero... 🇮🇳 #india #indianArmy

I know Jesse Cole loves to study Walt Disney, and it shows. There's a lesser-known story about Walt and Disneyland's souvenir book. Apparently, someone had suggested that they raise the price of those books because they were barely breaking even on them. Walt refused and insisted that the point was for people to buy them, take them home, and place them on their coffee table. That way, when they had company, their friends would see the book and begin thumbing through it. They'd see the pictures and think, "That looks fun. We should take our family to Disneyland." The Bananas are doing the 21st-century version of this philosophy. In a world of sizzle reel commercials for live events, they release full TikToks of moments in their games. They broadcast the games for free on YouTube. Even the owner posts his own personal insights on LinkedIn. What's happening is people are seeing this fantastic experience and thinking, "That looks fun. We should take our family to the Bananas when they visit town." That's a big reason they're selling out Major League ballparks and will continue growing. When kids in LA can't watch a Dodger game because of rights and restrictions, they can easily watch the Bananas for free online. Study the best. Learn from the best. Be the best.

Truly honored to introduce Sgt. First Class Carlo Adame to catch for the Savannah Bananas on ESPN in front of a sold out crowd. Seeing 13,000 people stand and recognize him for serving our country for 21 years, and now coming to catch after losing his right leg in service, was one of the most amazing moments on tour. After the first pitch was caught with a back flip catch, the stadium continued cheering for him while both teams celebrated with him at home plate. Then it happened. The entire crowd starting chanting U.S.A. I have goosebumps reliving it now as it was one of the most unifying and powerful moments that I've experienced. I'm so grateful for Carlo for joining us on the field and even more grateful for his service for our country. There's a reason why every night we recognize the military and they often receive the biggest applause of the night, and rightfully so. What makes me proud is that we can help celebrate and put a spotlight on these heroes and these moments. We believe in bringing people together and we believe the world needs that now more than ever. While we often bring people together in fun and in joy...sometimes it's often bigger than that and this was one of those moments.

QSOURCE Q4.1 SUA SPONTE LEADER Make clear the Mission Sua Sponte is Latin for “of his own accord”. In the law, a judge acts sua sponte when he exercises his inherent authority to make a ruling without a petition from a lawyer do so. He takes the initiative to act on his own accord. Sua Sponte is also the motto of the United States Army’s 75th Ranger Regiment. It is a recognition that to become a Ranger a man must be a triple volunteer: first the Army, then Airborne School and finally the Ranger Regiment. Rangers aren’t drafted, they must make the choice for themselves–three times. The Rangers are elite because every man there is taught to be a Leader and every Leader is expected to take the initiative to do what is necessary to accomplish the unit’s mission.
