It's exam results day in Scotland, many will have already have had their text message last night. Their letter will come through the door today and they'll be expected to open it and share with those in their family. But remember your results do not define you, they don't define your last year/2 years of work.They define only the day and time you sat that exam. Celebrate your success, my exam results were alright. But I still didn't get to do what I wanted to. There are many ups and downs in our lifes. Didn't get the grades you wanted? No worries there is always next time. Did get the grades but didn't get the place or the path you wanted? No worries, there is always next time. I didn't get what I wanted to do, I didn't finish university either, shit happens, life happens. Make the most of your opportunities and don't let setbacks hold you back. #DYWScot #NoWrongPath

Exams are Done. Time to Prep for March! Here’s why starting early for the March exams is a total game-changer (and why you should start NOW, even if your brain is still on vacation mode): 1. Less Stress, More Success: Starting early means no last-minute cramming (because, let’s be honest, who really enjoys that?). You’ll actually have time to understand the material instead of just memorizing it in a panic! 2. Confidence Boost: You know that feeling when you walk into an exam and actually recognize the questions? Yeah, that’s what early prep does—it gives you that “I’ve got this” swagger. 😎 3. More Time for Past Papers: Time to practice those exam techniques! Nothing says “I’m ready” like smashing a couple of past papers under timed conditions (without sweating bullets). 4. No Burnout, Just Steady Progress: Starting early means you can pace yourself. Study a little each day, keep the momentum going, and avoid turning into a caffeine-fueled zombie the week before the exam. ☕️👀 5. Stay in the Zone: If you stay engaged between now and March, you won’t feel like you’re starting from scratch. You’ll be building on what you know, instead of going back to square one. Pro Tip: Even if you’re not feeling super motivated (we’ve all been there), just do 30 minutes a day. That’s it.

The exam result are out & there are lots of emotions: Relief, disappointment, excitement, fear, worry, proud parents & young people & those feeling like they’ve failed. I was rubbish at exams. I enjoyed the social aspect of school & learing when it was fun & engaging. My reports usually said talks too much, could do better if she applied herself. The classic could do better. Makes sense knowing I’m an ADHDer. I expect there are loads of creatives who are. My GCSE results were average & I failed one of my A levels (a lot due to a misunderstanding so I had 3 days to create a final project that could be submitted). I’ve just realised this cemented a difficult relationship with technology. My point is non of it matters really. These exams that mean everything and feel like they define your future. They take you in a direction but don’t define your worth! Nobody cares what results you got in 10 years time. Probably sooner. You can still do whatever you want. There is always a way! For now congratulations to all the young people & parents who are celebrating this exam season. Big hugs to all those who are disappointed. Massive love to you all. “What is the best year to appear for the CAT exam?” In the past couple of months, this is one question that I’ve been asked by multiple aspirants. My reply, almost always, is to take the exam this year even if you feel you are not adequately prepared. With the registration deadline fast approaching, here's why I believe this is the best move: 1. Experience is Invaluable: No mock comes close to the actual exam. By appearing for the CAT, you gain invaluable experience that’ll come in handy next year, even if you’re unable to make it to a college of your choice this year. Knowing the exam pattern well is already half the battle won. 2. Momentum is (almost) Everything: Deadlines, especially difficult ones, often help us perform to our best abilities. A concrete exam date is the single biggest motivator to make a schedule and prepare accordingly. This momentum can significantly boost your performance. 3. Opportunity for Stars to Align: As competitive as CAT is, a large part of the exam is based on aptitude. Of what is left, remaining level headed in the face of pressure, and simply being present to allow luck to favour you are huge factors. From personal experience, one is least pressured when self expectations are low, often true when you’re not bothered too much about the result. In the year I cracked CAT, I didn't have any intention of appearing for it. I ended up filling the application in the grace period- a week long window after the initial registration had closed, the magical window where procrastination meets opportunity :P If anything, the lesson here is that my unexpected decision to apply, despite my lack of preparation and conviction, turned out to be the second best decision of my life. Don't wait for the perfect moment, most top scorers will also tell you that perfect preparation simply doesn't exist. Embrace the challenge and make most of the opportunity. All the best!

The UPSC results have been announced, and social media is buzzing with the success stories of those who cracked the exams and made it through the list. She gotch an AIR 9 but she don’t give a F*CK about it.   Sonia was my classmate at the school. We were both pursuing the CS course.    In the first attempt, 𝘀𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗱, but in the December 23 attempt, she scored AIR 9.   And the one thing 𝗜 𝗰𝗮𝗻’𝘁 𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗲𝘀𝘁 is that she literally didn’t tell anybody about this. 𝗦𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝗱𝗻’𝘁 𝗴𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 , even though she was reached out by the coaching. She didn’t post about it on any social media handles.   She sent me a snap of the certificate attached below, and then I got to know she is an AIR.   I was watching YouTube videos, looking here and there for advice, while my classmate is an AIR.   𝑾𝒉𝒆𝒏 𝑰 𝒕𝒂𝒍𝒌𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒐 𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝒂𝒃𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒑𝒓𝒆𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒔𝒉𝒆 𝒕𝒐𝒍𝒅 𝒎𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔:   ➲ F*ck notes. Just module, module, and module. ➲ She didn’t solve any past year papers. Kyuki use PYQ dekh kr darr lgta tha. ➲ She used to take multiple subjects at a time. ➲ On completing a chapter, she used to solve 2-3 questions. ➲ She made no timetable because she couldn’t stick to it for a long time. ➲ She just did two revisions. ➲ She used to set a daily target but agr complete ni hua to kal kr lenge no issues.   And she also used to take tuition during exam time.   We all know that we don’t even get one day off before our next exam. 𝗦𝗵𝗲 𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗯𝘆 6:30 𝗽.𝗺. 𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝘅𝗮𝗺𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝘂𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. After that, she starts revising for the next exam.   She also went sick during the exams.   She wasn’t even expecting a rank. Her SLCM exam went so badly that 𝐬𝐡𝐞 𝐠𝐨𝐭 41 𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐢𝐭.   But she didn’t let that one bad exam affect others.   She saw her result in the afternoon and had a small celebration with family.    In the evening, she was randomly checking the merit list just to see kon kon AIR h iss baar.   And she saw her name and told her mom, “𝗠𝘂𝗺𝗺𝘆 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗱 𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗶 𝗥𝗔𝗡𝗞 𝗮𝗮𝘆𝗶 𝗵𝗮𝗶”   She couldn’t even believe it. Think about this before your next exam If you are asked a question and you are unable to answer it correctly and confidently. Trust me, there is a problem. And that's like a kind of white and black thing there. So yeah, there's multiple permutations. It's either you answer the question but you are not confident enough and you go back to check the answer. And you are like... Oh yeah, I got this right. What's that telling you? Well, it means it may be that you may have gotten lucky or something, the issue is you didn't know you were right. That means, there is a gap in your knowledge there. Rethink it. It means you don't know the concept really deeply. The interesting thing is, what if they test you on the same concept in a very different way, you will be caught out. That's why a lot of students sit for an exam and it will be like I can't Believe I got it wrong, like I did a question like this when I was practicing. However, if you focus on your confidence level about the concept and not whether you are wrong or right. That's more indicative of the level of your true knowledge. Think about this.
