MY REACTION TO MEDIA COVERAGE OF TRUMP’s CABINET PICKS When I see headlines in international media as below: 1- Why Trump is trying to outrage Washington with his controversial cabinet picks? My reaction was, Trump is destroying America democracy not outraging Washington. 2- Trump stirs the pot with shock cabinet picks. My reaction was, Trump is not stirring any pot but supervising the destruction of America. 3- Trump emerging team of loyalists is primed for a fast start in his second term. My reaction was, no fast start is expected with this cabinet but fast decline. The full force of the decline will not be felt in the next four year but long after Trump had relunctantly left office.

What Americans think of Trump's Cabinet revealed in shock new poll... Our note: the POTUS has the power to make the appointments he deems most appropriate. We only give this as data. Trump has nominated a number of candidates to serve in his Cabinet - but a new poll claims they have a slight edge on public, with one glaring exception. The president-elect has selected a rash of hardline conservatives and MAGA loyalists to serve in his administration. An Echelon Insights poll shows nearly every member with a slight favorability. Robert F. Kennedy Jr.( Department of Health and Human Services) he has a favorability of 46%, while just 41% see him negatively. Pete Hegseth ( Department of Defense): while he received a low 21% approval rating, it edges out his 20% disapproval. A total of 44% of respondents claimed they have never heard of him. Secretary of State nominee Marco Rubio has the most favorable poll numbers of Trump's Cabinet selections with 36% approval compared to 34% disapprove. Trump's selection for the Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard was seen favorable by 25% of respondents compared to 23% who don't like her. Tesla CEO and Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) co-chair Elon Musk, was at a +3% (46% favorable, 43% unfavorable). The one Trump nominee slammed in the poll was his attorney general choice Matt Gaetz, who is seen favorably by only 22% of those polled and negatively by 35%. IMO the candidates are all very capable, with expertise, and most importantly, they are NOT contaminated by the Deep State.

Trump's Cabinet Selections: Loyalty Over Expertise, But At What Cost? 🇺🇸⚖️ In a move that has drawn significant scrutiny, President-elect Donald Trump’s recent cabinet nominations, including loyalists like Matt Gaetz and Tulsi Gabbard, prioritize personal loyalty over experience. These picks are seen as part of Trump’s strategy to reshape the government, but critics are concerned about potential consequences for governance and national security. As the Senate reviews these nominations, the focus on loyalty over expertise signals a major shift in political dynamics. How do you view this trend in leadership? #TrumpPicks #CabinetAppointments #LoyaltyInLeadership #USPolitics #NowMedia #PoliticalStrategy

A WASHINGTON POST COMMENT THAT BEARS REPEATING: "a flugelhorn" COMMENTED ON JULY 18, 2024 @ 6:15 PM EST: QUOTE: "Both sides" doesn't work here, because there is a double standard - for good reasons. One of the chief animating ideas behind the Republican Party has long been, bluntly, "government sucks". The GOP believes that the federal government is inherently wasteful and corrupt. They believe that private businesses are inherently more capable and competent than government at all levels. The consequence is that, for Republicans, it doesn't really matter whether their presidential candidate is a morally upstanding patriot or a corrupt slimeball - the government they're running to lead is already believed to be inherently corrupt, so what does it matter if they send one more corrupt guy to Washington? As long as the corrupt guy isn't a liberal, it's all good. Meanwhile, as Democrats, we believe that the government works. When the government isn't working well, that means we need to adjust it so that it works better. We believe that the government is capable of doing a lot of good, and with the right people working under the right set of rules and regulations, it can do a lot of good for society, fairly and efficiently. So for us, it actually does matter that we have capable, competent, reliable leaders in place. Is Biden better than Trump? Yes, of course, but that's because Trump is awful - it's the lowest possible bar. It doesn't necessarily make Biden well qualified to serve another four years as president. That's why I have very little respect for the "vote blue no matter who!" crowd. They're thinking and talking like Republicans. But we believe it's an important job, so it really ought to matter who!. . ." UNQUOTE ALEXANDER HAMILTON USES SIMILAR LANGUAGE IN FEDERALIST PAPER NUMBER ONE (1787) CONTRASTING TWO CANDIDATES WHO ARE A LOT LIKE BIDEN AND TRUMP. WHEN I HAVE MORE TIME, I WILL QUOTE IT. OR YOU COULD LOOK IT UP IN YOUR COPY OF THE FEDERALIST PAPERS. WHAT? YOU DON'T HAVE ONE? YOU SHOULD BUY ONE! (ABOUT $10)

Biden’s Shifted Tone Toward Trump Since the November election, the White House has clarified President Biden’s shift from strong rhetoric against President-elect Donald Trump to a more conciliatory approach. While Biden previously called Trump an “existential threat to democracy,” Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre explained this softened stance, noting, “We are now in a different place.” Unity Through a Smooth Transition Jean-Pierre emphasized that Biden’s commitment to a peaceful transfer of power aims to reflect unity, despite lingering concerns. This message was underscored by a recent White House meeting between Biden and Trump, where both leaders demonstrated respect and cooperation, contrasting with the heated exchanges during the campaign. Historic Transition Amid Past Tensions The White House’s outreach to Trump marks a new chapter, especially given Trump’s previous refusal to concede in 2020. Jean-Pierre reiterated that while Biden’s concerns remain, his current focus is on leading by example to bridge national divides during this historic transition. A Defining Moment for the Nation As Trump prepares to assume office again, this cooperative transition stands as a pivotal moment, potentially shaping the tone of his presidency and Biden’s lasting legacy on democracy. #WhiteHouse #TransitionOfPower #Biden #Trump #UnityInLeadership #USPolitics #Democracy 🔗 Visit Swifteradio’s website for more updates. https://lnkd.in/gey7n_Fx #swifteradio #walltowall #diasporaradio #ImmigrantRadio #africansindiaspora #nigeriansindiaspora #DiasporaImmigrant
