Who would imagine a 4800 sq. ft. compressed earth block (CEB) house could look this good? Sometimes simple, basic, natural and less costly can be a good thing. Let nature work its magic! Take the beautiful lime plaster finish on this CEB home, for example. While modern plasters contain gypsum or cement, lime plaster is an ancient alternative made of sand, water and lime, with its first use thought to be around 700 B.C.! Natural lime plaster allows moisture to escape and evaporate from a building. Indeed, lime plaster can effectively wick or draw moisture out of the solid walls of a CEB building due to its exceptional capillary structure! Of course there will be questions. Lots of questions.
