Trans or Gender Fluid? 🌈 Understanding the nuances of gender identity can be complex, especially when it comes to children. The Human Rights Campaign offers valuable insight: consistency, insistence, and persistence are key indicators of a child's transgender or nonbinary identity. If a child consistently, insistently, and persistently expresses a gender identity that differs from the one assigned at birth, they are likely transgender. It's not just about occasional preferences; it's about a deep-seated sense of self over time. Moreover, children may not always have the words to articulate their feelings, but they communicate their truth through their actions and expressions.
