Soon time to wrap up for the week to enjoy midsummer celebrations here in Sweden. But before checking out, I would like to highlight to the network that we right now have 5 open positions, 4 in Lund, 1 in Stockholm, in the ASIC department. In an earlier post I talked about that "Always open" is my favorite Axis core value. There is another core value that comes to mind in this post. And it is "Think big". Some sub texts are known to be that we act and look at the big picture. And in this case, we think that we need to expand the team to be ready for the challenges in advanced SoC design. Always open... to new applicants and future coworkers to myself. At Axis we have some core values that we actively promote and try to hold on. My favorite one is "Always open". It can have many interpretations, but to me the meaning is that we should be open in a broad sense. Open to contacts, discussions, ideas. To allow the actual interaction to happen, to have an open mind and really listen. Although we have our own office (most of us anyway), the door should always be open. Throughout my working years, I have strived to really listen, be open to other ideas, and to be gentle (most time) when pushing my own ideas. If you can help a colleague to take the next step, to get past something blocking, to educate them, or to help them take a decision, you are, according to me, on the right path. Not only in personal development for both you and the colleague, but also for the company.
