Here's to 60 Years of Solving the Unsolvable! #Oceaneeringat60
Oceaneering is. One-of-a-kind. It made some really smart acquisitions along the way and it is still occurring today and I think it's the women and the men to go offshore. The make Oceaneering what it is today and they are the most important part. Of the entire process, and we sometimes lose track of that sitting back on our offices.
MEET THE TEAM 👋👋
Every Thursday for the next few months we will introduce you to one member of our all star team, and no better way to kick this off than with a guy who has just completed his 4 year anniversary at Taz Drones Jorge Carreno 🎉🎉
Jorge was the first to join the team with Andrew as we were coming out of the worst of the
pandemic in 2020 in Tasmania. Without Jorge tirelessly working hard to push himself and
those around him Taz Drones wouldn’t be what it is today.
We’re all super proud of all his achievements over the past 4 years. Jorge is one of the kindest
hard working people out there and we can’t wait to see what we can all do together to have a
big impact on the drone industry moving forward!!
Jorge: "I can't believe it's been 4 years of both experience and lessons learned at Taz Drones!
Here are 4 things I've learned in 4 years at TDS
1️⃣ Tackling challenging problems with team support has been crucial in achieving great outcomes. Together, we have navigated complex issues and celebrated our successes.
2️⃣ Overcoming fear after drone crashes or mistakes. Friendly and honest feedback from colleagues has helped me identify and learn from my missteps, building confidence and resilience.
3️⃣ Believing that everything is achievable. This mindset has helped me stay hopeful and determined, no matter the challenges.
4️⃣ Figure it out, mate." This phrase embodies teamwork and problem-solving. It involves researching solutions together, exploring different approaches, and improving strategies through lively discussions and humour. Ultimately, we find the best solution with genuine smiles and a "great job, mate."
A special thanks to all who have been part of my journey so far!
Se les Quiere a todos!

Our last Live event explored the role of Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs) in improving hull performance - below are 5 Key Takeaways:
1️⃣ Scope for improvement: We uncovered that ROVs can potentially offer a performance improvement of 10 to 16 percent.
2️⃣ Preventive Approach to Maintenance: Panelists highlighted ROVs' capability for regular hull grooming, significantly reducing the need for extensive cleaning and thereby preventing severe fouling.
3️⃣ Combining ROV’s with the Right Paint is a Must: Experts emphasised the critical necessity of integrating ROV cleaning methods with advanced antifouling paints to ensure maximum efficiency and longevity of hull performance.
4️⃣ Crew Empowerment: The conversation revealed successful strategies for training and equipping crew members with the knowledge and tools to effectively operate ROV technology, ensuring onboard efficiency and safety.
5️⃣ Combining Technology: Detailed discussions focused on the synergistic benefits of using ROV technology alongside propeller optimisation techniques, illustrating a comprehensive approach to achieve optimised vessel efficiency and performance.
Discover firsthand the discussions and valuable audience questions that shaped our understanding of ROV technologies. Watch the full recording of our Live event here: https://lnkd.in/dGespRZ3
Looking ahead, we're excited to invite you to tomorrow's Live event on engine power limitation (EPL), aiming to provide insights into the current landscape and future directions of ship optimisation. The panel will explore the intersections between RightShip rating, technological innovation, and commercial viability, reflecting on how the industry can navigate these challenges to achieve greater efficiency and sustainability. 3 ways your drone show can become a multi-night strategy:
We're diving back into lessons learned from our series of drone shows for Ford Motor Company at the State Fair of Texas®.
Not only did we make a splash with a 1,500 pyro drone show on the first night of drone shows, we kept the conversation going with multiple 500 drone shows, each night having new creative concepts.
Here's why this might be a useful consideration at your next event:
1. Campaigns create momentum 🚀
Get attention with a big drone show. Follow it up with smaller shows with the same themes and story. The experience is new and reinforces the same core message.
2. Each night is a new chapter 📖
These shows aren't just repeats, they are fully customized drone shows that are still part of the larger narrative. Multiple flights maximizes your brand exposure, especially at events where there are new attendees each day and night.
New shows, new audiences, same message.
3. Reinforce and deepen the message over time. 📣 💪
A multi-night campaign makes sure your message isn't lost in the noise. At an event with so much going on, an ongoing drone show campaign deepens the emotional impact of your story. It gives your audience something to look forward to, and recommend to their friends to go see.
So next time you're planning a drone show, think to yourself, can this become a campaign?
With the right planning, you can use multiple drone shows to create serious momentum for your next campaign.
𝐆𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐌𝐨𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐀𝐥𝐥 𝐃𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐏𝐢𝐥𝐨𝐭𝐬 𝐀𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 ! 🌍🚀
As we prepare for another day in the skies, let’s take a moment to appreciate the incredible opportunity we have to be part of such a rapidly growing industry. Whether you’re flying for agriculture, emergency services, or any other field, your work is making a real impact!
Here are a few tips to fully enjoy every flight:
𝟏. 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐲 𝐂𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬 – Always look for new ways to improve your skills and learn from other pilots. The technology is evolving, and so should we.
𝟐. 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐧 𝐀𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐝 – A well-planned mission not only ensures safety but also lets you focus on enjoying the flight.
𝟑. 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐲 𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐞 – Remember why you started. Whether it’s the love of technology, the view from above, or the satisfaction of a job well done, keep that passion alive.
𝟑. 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐒𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬– Each flight is a chance to grow. Celebrate the small wins just as much as the big ones.
Let’s continue pushing the boundaries and supporting each other in this incredible journey.
Wishing you all safe flights and clear skies! ✈️
