🌏 International Day of Peace (“Peace Day”) is observed annually on September 21 and this year marks the 25th anniversary of the United Nations General Assembly’s adoption of the Declaration and Programme of Action on a Culture of Peace. ☮️ This encompasses values such as respect for life, human rights and fundamental freedoms; the promotion of non-violence through education, dialogue and cooperation; commitment to peaceful settlement of conflicts; and adherence to freedom, justice, democracy, tolerance, solidarity, cooperation, pluralism, cultural diversity, dialogue and understanding at all levels of society and among nations. It is a time to lay down weapons, observe ceasefires, recognize each other’s humanity and contribute to building a Culture of Peace. Happy World Peace Day! 🌏 🕊️

Peace is something we all long for, but it can feel distant in a world full of conflict. International Peace Day is a reminder that peace starts with each of us, in our everyday lives. It’s in the way we treat one another with kindness, respect, and patience, even when we disagree. True peace isn’t just the absence of violence, it’s the presence of understanding, empathy, and the willingness to listen. When we choose to be kind, to forgive, and to uplift others, we take small but meaningful steps toward a more peaceful world. Peace isn’t just an idea; it’s something we create together, every day.

International Peace Day 2024. “Peace does not mean an absence of conflicts; differences will always be there. Peace means solving these differences through peaceful means; through dialogue, education, knowledge, and through humane ways." – Dalai Lama. Peace is not about avoiding conflict, but about resolving differences in ways that honor our shared humanity. Today is a call to hope, to believe in a future where cooperation, compassion, and justice triumphs over division, conflict, and hate. It encourages us to take meaningful steps—individually and collectively—toward building that future.

With everything that tends to go on in the world, often times we as humans can become so consumed with these unfortunate, and negative events. We often time look at the world and wonder "Will It ever stop?" "Will there ever be peace attained?" I happen to be apart of an amazing organization that is promoting and working towards World Peace. HWPL is an amazing International Movement that brings people, and leaders of different religions, backgrounds, and creeds together to discuss steps to achieving world Peace together. Currently many religious leaders and authority figures (worldwide) have signed memorandums stating they will join in this effort, and be accountable for peace efforts in their country.. HWPL also offers Peace Academies (Schools) around the World that teaches at a very young age, how to resolve matters in a peaceful way, and creating peaceful resolutions. The work is being done, let us all join in to help, rather than complaining about all of the problems. Please do not give up hope, even though its hard when we look around. God (Creator) has a Plan, and his Will for restoration, Re-creation, and Peace will be done. Let us unite together, & Strive for something that We ALL WANT despite our differences...... We can ALL agree that we Want... Love, Peace, and Unity in this World🤞🎺🙏✨️ ✨️For more information on how you can get involved, or find out more about HWPL please visit: https://lnkd.in/gUQVig3M If you'd like to receive additional information, or ask questions: Email info@hwpl.kr Peace, Love and Light✌️💚✨️

Today marks the United Nations' International Day of Peace. This years theme is “Cultivating a Culture of Peace” which draws inspiration from UNESCO’s foundational belief that “wars begin in the minds of men, so it is in the minds of men that the defenses of peace must be constructed.” Together we can cultivate the principles necessary for global harmony-principles. Peace, after all, is a shared responsibility, and the foundations for it must be cultivated in every community, through education, cooperation, and compassion.
