#madeinusasaturday returns, and we're going to end in Fisticuffs, 1890's style. This is is the stache wax that makes it all possible, and it's Made in USA! As you can all imagine, as the 44th ranked CREi Summit LinkedIn, I’m often asked how I keep my mustache looking so good... Look no further: Fisticuffs Mustache Wax by Grave Before Shave/ Fisticuffs LLC. This stuff is easy to find on Amazon— at tin will set you back somewhere between $8 and $15 bucks. It comes in variety of leather bound books and mahogany type scents (think Old Spice, Royall Muske, etc), and it does its job every time. I love this product, and it made my day to notice that it was Made in USA. As I started this journey, I couldn’t believe how many things I assumed were made stateside were indeed made overseas, so seeing things like this are a pleasant surprise. From there, it’s easy to dismiss the importance of manufacturing mustache wax in the states, but let’s dig into David Bieri's multiplier effect here… That factory now needs to pay property taxes, buy insurance, lease real estate, hire lawyers and legal services, keep their machines running, and on down the list. Overall, it’s just a good demonstration of the positive effects that American manufacturing has, and it's good for the stache, which is even better. Btw, to Hammacher Schlemmer and the rest of the #linkedinfam: any sort of resemblance to a certain actor that wore a certain American made Hawaiian made shirt and supported a certain baseball team is probably coincidental. Go Tigers. Randy Conrad Jim Fred Paul George D. Connor: if you're ever in the market, I can't recommend it high enough. #brokerpals and #crefam: John Fly Gabe Jeffrey Shawn Joseph Andrew JP Greg Lily Scott Harrison Natalie Kevin Patrick Timothy DJ Ryan Matthew Matteo Maggie Kevin Brendan Steve Adam Matt Renee: if you don't have a mustache, I highly recommend it. It pairs well with American Made Hawaiian Shirts. #ccim #sior #savills #detroit

#madeinusasaturday rides again with a special Father's Day salute to Boardroom Socks, Inc. If you're looking for a Father's Day gift, look no further! First of all, happy Father's Day to all the Dad's, all the wannabe Dad's, and everyone that's kind enough to put up with my Dad jokes! Boardroom Socks, Inc. are out of North Carolina. They're a family owned company, and manufacture these socks in their own factory, which extremely rare in this day and age. These socks are well made with quality materials, many different sizes and colors are available, and the overall packaging is top notch. In terms of value, these socks come in just under the $20.00 range, about $10 cheaper than similar pairs at a retail store Just level set a few things, #madeinusasaturday was a segment I started during the pandemic. With all to supply chain chaos around, as an industrial real estate broker I felt it was beneficial to highlight the companies that manufactured products stateside, and from there spark a conversation. Overall it's been a fun hobby and rabbit hole to dive into! #brokerpals & #crefam: Brendan Conrad Gabe Jeffrey Dan Michael Matthew Michael Diogo Jeremy Aaron Sam Robert Dane A. Blake Peter Adam Steve Josh Jon Brendan JP Paul Jeffrey Ian Justin George Bill Joseph Dominic Michael Peter Gerard Ryan DJ John Patrick Mike: I used to have a few dad jokes about pairs of matching socks, but I’ve lost one. Oh well. #savills #ccim #sior #detroit

I was recently the very lucky recipient of a Fortnum & Mason hamper, as a thank you for connecting up some mutual contacts for a professional opportunity. Part of the joy of this was the 'unboxing', rummaging through the straw to find the treats inside. A large tin of biscuits brings its own rewards, but I was also taken by a lovely piece of innovation on the biscuit tin itself. Apparently, some people keep their biscuits long enough that they start to lose their bite (no such issues in this household!), and so Fortnum's have added a little device into the roof of the tin that captures the moisture and helps keep the biscuits as fresh as ever. There are even instructions on how to remove the device and dry it back out in the oven for repeat usage. I'd imagine the utility of this is pretty low. The tin is obviously high quality (as are the biscuits!), and really, who has time for this kind of thing! But the emotional value is really high - it tells me that they care about their product, and about their customers, and want them to have the best possible experience. It's all beautifully done and reinforces the brand positioning. But what I love most about this is the reminder that an innovation idea can come from a very well known customer need (biscuit protection), with a well understood product solution (moisture wicking technology) - the innovation is just in bringing those together in a new category. This problem/ solution duo has been around for decades, yet this is the first time I've seen any brand try and speak to the issue at all. As with all the best ideas, once you see it, you wonder why it hadn't been done earlier. 🍪 💡 ✨ #Insight #Innovation #cookies

What's the most forgettable #lengthofservicegift you've ever received? 🤔 We've heard some doozies... The dusty crystal paperweight that's still in its box? The corporate branded pen that never worked? Or maybe that certificate that's been sitting in your drawer since 2019? At RedBalloon for Business, we believe recognising loyal team members deserves more than just a token gesture. Because let's be honest – after giving you 5, 10, or 15 years of their professional life, your people deserve something that creates a story worth telling. Like that time Sarah from Finance finally got to hot air balloon over the Yarra Valley. Or when the entire dev team discovered they were surprisingly good at making pasta from scratch (and surprisingly bad at keeping the flour off their faces). Turn those "thanks for your time" moments into "thanks for the memories." Your team's loyalty deserves more than just another dust collector. #EmployeeRecognition #CorporateGifting #WorkplaceCulture #AussieBusiness #RedBalloon

The Accidental Mountain Dew Legend: Willie's the Hillbilly's Wild Ride Willie Stumpjumper chugged a case of Mountain Dew while jump-starting his cousin's lawnmower. The caffeine explosion launched him 20 feet into the air, landing perfectly on a broken tractor he instantly rewired. Mountain Dew executives, driving by, witnessed the spectacle. "We need this man," the marketing director whispered. Billboards soon featured Willie mid-leap, can in hand, with the tagline: "Dew or Die!" His gap-toothed grin transformed him from local legend to national icon. Sometimes, greatness is just one caffeine-powered explosion away. #BrandInnovation #MarketingDisruption #UnconventionalBranding #ConsumerEngagement #BrandStorytelling #MarketingStrategy #ViralMarketing #MountainDew

Stop Eating Your Leftovers Before I continue, I am not referring to the delicious turkey and dressing sandwiches that you may be taking to work this week. I'm talking about those leftover corporate branded jackets, polos from the golf outing and earth day t-shirts in sizes that nobody wanted or needed. You know, the ones piling up in your company's closet, or in boxes or under someone's desk that ate 10-15% of your annual budget. Frocket has a solution to end all of this leftover waste, and it just takes two minutes to set up. Say good bye to cutting and pasting from outlook to excel. For just 10-20 cents per employee, let Frocket do all of the heavy lifting for you by collecting your employee apparel sizes (that's 2,500 employees for just the cost of just one Peter Millar jacket or three Johnny-O polos). Think about how much further your marketing budget would go without all of these leftovers. Check out Frocket's pay as you go model without any upfront or ongoing costs, and schedule a demo today.
