KKR, a leading private equity firm, has announced its acquisition of wealth manager Janney Montgomery Scott LLC, set to finalize in Q4 2024. With $150 billion in assets and over 900 financial advisors across 135 offices, Janney will continue to operate as a standalone private company post-transaction. Janney President Tony Miller highlighted KKR’s alignment with Janney’s client and advisor-centric culture and the potential for future growth. KKR’s Chris Harrington emphasized Janney’s strong brand and growth prospects in the U.S. wealth management market.
