As we approach the end of the year, time tends to speed up and we respond by pushing harder and faster. But here's something to consider - in doing so, we often lose connection with the core of who we are. We get so caught up in the pursuit of doing, that we forget why we started this journey in the first place.  We're in reactive fight-flight mode, adrenaline high, cortisol pumping. But we pay the price - We make mistakes. We're unable to really connect with others. We become impatient, even angry. And ultimately - we get less work done. So, what's the point? Perhaps this is the year to try another way. To take a pause. To start a meeting with a deep breath. To take a moment before responding. To listen more than speak.
