A recent consumer survey related to Meatless Farm's latest campaign revealed that 67% of meat-eaters would choose a plant-based patty over their go-to beef burger after discovering that the brand's burger produces 85% fewer emissions compared to its meat counterpart. 🍔 In fact, if that same 67% of meat-eaters made the switch to the plant-based option, in one year it would save carbon emissions equivalent to driving to the moon and back 19,221 times! 🌎 The survey results highlight that when consumers become aware of the environmental impact of the foods they eat, it can significantly influence their purchasing decisions. 👏 #ClimateChange #ClimateCrisis #Sustainability #MeatFree #PlantBased #MeatAlternatives #VeganFood #ConsumerSurvey

We are so honored to be in attendance at the ReFED Food Waste Solutions Summit this year, as part of the Wednesday June 12th Showcase discussing solutions to On-farm Food Loss and Waste. Connect with us via FarmDrop. Keep a special eye out for Aleksandra Strub our FarmDrop Board Member. Send her a note directly to get connected! FarmDrop is not strictly a food waste solution, but is building a conceptual framework that offers a paradigm shift for how to design food waste out of the food system. With innovative digital solutions such as our Online Farmers Market - FarmDrop.us - we give farmers back control over inventory, pricing, marketing, sales, allowing customers to buy in advance, pay farmers directly, and develop a data-driven self-reliant food system, with less waste. Farmers bring to market only what they’ve already sold. They can market bulk blemished apples, wonky carrots, or beautifully holy arugula alongside their “firsts” or farmers market grade - and customers get to choose it and love it. They are in control because they know best how to manage their farm.

This week The Full Circle Collective is starting with its supplier profiles, where we share the stories with you about the inspiring sustainable and circular enterprises who are stocking us with products and services that don’t cost the earth. Our featured supplier this week is Food2Soil Pty Ltd, a company founded by two female entrepreneurs Annabel Schweiger and Josie Grenfell who have created Australia’s first biofertiliser made entirely from reclaimed waste streams. We at The Full Circle Collective love the Food2Soil products because they’re a practical example of how food waste (one of our largest contributors to greenhouse gas emissions) can be diverted into a sustainable and affordable natural gardening product. So far, Food2Soil has transformed more than 26,000kg of food waste into powerful plant food, thereby preventing more than 50,000kg of CO2 emissions. And Food2Soil’s fermentation process makes for probiotic-rich fertiliser that is great for your plants. How good is that! Check out this video for the story. https://lnkd.in/gFUbGa_n
