The Master Plan for Aging (MPA) Playbook is designed to assist state and local government, communities, and private and philanthropic organizations in building environments that promote age-friendly and disability-friendly communities. The tool, developed by California Department of Aging, outlines seven “plays”, each with recommended resources and models for you to consult during your project planning, implementation, and evaluation. 1. Exciting news in our region: Union County Community Foundation, an affiliate of Foundation For The Carolinas, awarded $89,300 in grants to 17 organizations. These funds support vital programs like Food for Families’ supplemental food bags for older adults and Alliance for Children’s Early Childhood Education Agriculture Initiative.

TrainingGrounds, a WKKF grantee, is setting a new standard in community engagement by helping Spanish-speaking families in New Orleans access early childhood education and essential services. Through their collaborative resource fair, in partnership with local nonprofits, they’ve connected families directly with Spanish-speaking representatives from key organizations like NOLA Public Schools and Agenda for Children. The Saint Paul & Minnesota Foundation is pleased to announce the launch of the Minnesota Community IDEAS Program in January 2025! 🎉 As the Minnesota community grant partner of the Bush Foundation, we will award $1.6 million in our first year to eligible organizations located in and serving Minnesota and the 11 Native Nations that share the same geography.
