Your thoughts, please: What should European cooperation look like in the future?   The discussions about the future (post-2027) Cohesion Policy funding framework are in full swing. As part of designing the new set-up, the European Commission is inviting you to share your opinion. We are running a public survey on behalf of the Commission.   Interreg stands out by being place-based, fostering cooperation and shared approaches in specific geographic areas. The voices of stakeholders in each region are important to transmit the regional perspectives. That is why we are keen to collect your thoughts about the future of cooperation in the North Sea Region.    So, please share your thoughts by taking part in the survey! 16th Meeting of the High-Level Group on EU Macro-Regional Strategies, 14 June 2024, European Commission. High-Level Group meeting of all EU Member States and those non-EU countries participating in the Strategies, discussing the future of Cohesion Policy and EU Enlargement from the perspective of EU macro-regional strategies. How can macro-regional strategies contribute to the new cohesion policy and the Enlargement and what can Strategies offer from their experience? How must Strategies change and adapt in order to provide concrete inputs for future EU policies and actively support the Enlargement process? 🇪🇺 In times of uncertainty about the future of the European Cohesion Policy, TEIN wants to contribute to the reflection with the paper "Costs of non-Interreg"! 🔗 https://lnkd.in/eu3f-R-s Over the last 35 years, Interreg has become an instrument of solidarity, reconciliation, confidence-building and strategic cooperation, reducing the divisive effects of borders and boosting the local economies of border regions. Today we are witnessing the emergence of mistrust, dissatisfaction and disharmony between Member States. 🤝 The members of TEIN share the conviction that there has never been a more urgent need to strengthen the spirit of solidarity and cooperation. We see European Territorial Cooperation as the best tool to preserve the core values and achievements of European integration. To keep borders open, we need cooperation and mutual trust, which can best be fostered through Interreg programmes.
