Last week, we had the pleasure of presenting to Cedar Valley Women Connect on creating, achieving, and maintaining balance in our lives. If this is something you struggle with, we invite you to do this exercise: Make a list of your values. (These values are the guiding principles with which we strive to live our lives.) Then, after you list out your values, reflect back on the last week. Where have you said yes to something outside of your values? Being aware of our "yes's" and if they are in alignment with our values or not will give us a clearer picture of where we could be out of balance. The question then becomes - Why am I saying yes to something that doesn't align with my values? And that is where we can grow and learn a lot as leaders and as important members of our families to create a better trajectory forward. - Nick Kuhle & Kayla Becker

I come from an industry that is predominantly powered by #women However, even today, most industries are dominated by men. In 2022, #data collected from the International Labour Organization concluded that, out of 180 countries - the #unitedstates ranks number 71 for % of women in the workforce. The percentage of women in the #workforce in the U.S is 46.38% Women remain #underrepresented at all levels, in most industries. Toxic relationships can be an opportunity to identify the limiting beliefs holding you back in love. It is during difficult times that one experience growth and learn to understand the pain of others. There are some limiting beliefs in your subconscious mind that led you to accept that relationship. Indentify them, replace them for more empowering ones. This is critical because your life is ran by your subconscious mind without you even know it. So, as long as you have those limiting beliefs nothing will change. Ask yourself why did I got involved with that person? Keep asking why untill you get to the root of the problem and change that limiting belief. If you are still in an abusive relationship, start cultivating your spirituality because that will give you the strength to leave. Practice Buddhism, do Deepak Chopra 21 day meditation series, read spiritual books, etc. And just as important, heal your heart ❤️ to become whole again and change the pattern of what you are attracting in life. If you start dating when you are broken hearted, you will keep attracting people that will break your heart again and again. If you are a mother, you have to do everything in your power to protect your children and lead by example. One great way to encourage a woman to leave an Abusive relationship is to expose her to healthy romantic relationships in real life or in movies, without shaming her. Last but not least, Nancy Maloney, director of insight & strategy, wraps up our series featuring the women at C-K who were on our Women's History Month panel. Nancy on who inspires her: "I admire the many women out there rejecting the scarcity narrative—the dated and unproductive notion that there is only so much space for us and that we must compete with each other for crumbs. I admire women telling our stories and taking up space. Not pretending NOT to be interested in things that are interesting to us. Not pretending to be ok with things that are not ok. I admire all the women who are committed to changing the narrative, changing the game, and ultimately changing the world. One human, one story, one action at a time."
