LEAF Psychotherapy is hiring! We are looking for licensed clinicians to join our incredible team. LEAF has offices in Little Silver, Hazlet, and Sea Girt, NJ. There are several potential advantages to working in private practice, including: 1. Autonomy: As a private practitioner, you have the freedom to set your own hours, choose your clients, and decide on the direction of your practice. 2. Greater control: You have more control over the types of services you provide, the fees you charge, and the overall management of your practice. 3. Flexibility: Private practice allows for greater flexibility in scheduling appointments, taking time off, and managing your workload. 4. Financial potential: While it may take time to build a client base, private practitioners have the potential to earn a higher income compared to those working in traditional settings. 5. Customized approach: Working in private practice allows you to tailor your services to meet the specific needs and preferences of your clients. Overall, working in private practice can offer a sense of independence, flexibility, and potential financial rewards for those who are willing to put in the effort to build and grow their practice. We love LifeStance Health 💙 🧠 As a #BehavioralHealth optimization partner I work with Behavioral Health facilities all over the country, including #virtualproviders and #digitalplatforms However, I know from #PERSONALexperience, and I'll share transparently, everyone in my family sees a counselor. We have all experienced a great deal of #trauma over the last few years (not even including the pandemic) and we work individually and together to assure our #mentalwellness including: my husband, my 17 year old son, and my 15 year old daughter! 👨👩👦👦 🎯 Lifestance has always been transparent, upfront on costs, and accesible to providers! 📊 We actually utilized another digital platform, a competitor of Lifestance, recently, to explore options. *It's important to shop providers and programs to indentify what is most successful and beneficial to your wellness... The new digital paltofrm we picked was awesome too - our son loved it and saw great benefits. However, through a 15 week program we were NEVER connected with a psychiatric provider! An amazing counselor, yes, but not the Psychiatric provider we were told we'd be seeing. After our son had completed the program, in a post treatment survey I mentioned that we were never connected with a provider and although they apologized they admitted that they didn't have any psychiatric providers in their network!!! They did refer us out to a provider down the street, which is fine, the other, local provider is great, but we chose (and paid for) the (comprehensive) digital program, under the understanding that Psychiatric evaluation was apart of the program. My point in many ways is two-fold: What is advertised isn't always real - check in on what you're investing in. AND There is a DIRE #SHORTAGE of #mentalhealth practitioners. #Psychiatry #Psychiatrist #PsychiatricNursePractitioners #PsychNP #BehavorialHealthcareProviderShortage #PhysicianShortage #ProviderShortage #RecruitmentPartner

Seriously. What do you want in a job? Most therapists seek three things: 1) An agency that aligns with your personal and professional values. 2) An environment where you can continue to learn and grow as a therapist. 3) A climate that is rich with meaning and purpose. CenterPointe Counseling and Recovery is a small, locally owned agency that offers Intensive Outpatient Programs in Sarasota, Venice and Pt. Charlotte in three 3-hour sessions per week. To succeed, you must love seeing folks early in recovery walk in the door, anxious and beaten up by addiction and co-occurring disorders. Watching them slowly but surely they find acceptance, optimism and tools for hope. Finding their way back self-esteem and the joy they lost. It's hard work, but at CenterPointe you will find the cheerful administrative support and inspired leadership you need to help your clients succeed.

Yesterday the Therapist Integration consult group learned SO MUCH from Joshua Traphagen, who shared a ton of insight about how the State of Oregon has rolled out laws for Psilocybin Service Centers. We learned about what it's like for clients seeking services, the role of facilitators, ways clients can access legal services more affordably, and how Oregon seems to have taken a strong harm reduction approach and focus solely on the experiential phase two of the PAT model, leaving phases one (preparation) and three (integration) largely up to the individuals to seek separately from the legal service center model. I left feeling validated the PHRI model makes a lot of sense for licensed providers who want to support clients seeking therapeutic psychedelic experiences independently. And for clients, who may not actually want their longer term support provider to be present during an immensely vulnerable and sometimes embarrassing experience. This is a perspective not often shared in the psychedelic therapy space but one that I think is worth considering! This meeting was recorded and available to all future consult group subscribers to review privately. IF YOU'RE A LICENSED THERAPIST and exploring ways to incorporate psychedelic harm reduction and integration therapy in your practice, consider joining the TI consult group! Why Does ABA Therapy Face More Scrutiny Compared to Other Allied Health Practices? As BCBAs, we often see ABA therapy being subjected to inflammatory language and aggressive pushback on social media. It's worth noting that many of the practices we use in ABA are similar to those employed by Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP), Occupational Therapists (OT), and Physical Therapists (PT). Yet, these allied health professions do not face the same level of criticism. Shared Practices Across Disciplines Many techniques used in ABA, such as reinforcement, task analysis, and shaping, are also integral to SLP, OT, and PT. These practices are named differently but serve similar purposes in enhancing patient outcomes. Why the Discrepancy in Perception? Maybe-Naming Conventions: The terminology used in ABA can sometimes sound more clinical, potentially leading to misunderstandings. Maybe-Visibility and Advocacy: Other allied health professions may have more established advocacy groups and have been established longer than ABA. Your Thoughts? Why do you think ABA therapy faces such intense scrutiny and criticism compared to other allied health practices? I would love to hear your insights and engage in a constructive dialogue on this important topic.
