Hello LinkedIn, I'll admit, I'm not the most regular poster on here (who else gets caught in the daily scroll?), but I'm never far away, and enjoy all the wonderful updates that you share. Out in the real world, I'm still championing owner-founders on their marketing journey. Today, I am saying hello and sharing a snippet of what we do and something a little bit new… Race Marketing Agency Ltd isn't just a company; it is a labour of love. Our clients fuel our passion, and there's nothing quite like seeing their businesses thrive. If you're interested in experiencing our energy first hand, hop over to https://lnkd.in/gWa8HJSw and see what we're all about. And then there’s the something a little bit new…the phenomenal Nicole Bilham (business partner extraordinaire/ride or die) and I have joined forces to create something special, a jam-packed one-day course called The Marketing Foundation, check it out here: https://lnkd.in/gGv8uJZc Nicole encourages me to ALWAYS have an ask... and so here it is. Do you know an owner-founder who is struggling with their marketing? Could you introduce us?! The methodology we will be sharing is battle-tested and versatile, perfect for start-ups and scale-ups alike it really can be applied for any kind of marketing...and we know it works. #ownerfounder #businessowner #marketing

Whether you're a seasoned entrepreneur or diving into the startup world, understanding these misconceptions around how marketing impacts your brands growth is crucial for navigating the ever-evolving marketing landscape. Below are a couple that Forbes highlights: 💱Immediate ROI shows that marketing is working - Instant marketing results aren't guaranteed; success depends on goals and execution quality. Patience is key as building brand awareness and customer loyalty takes time, with sales impact often appearing later. 📊 Marketing is just advertising and PR - Some founders are surprised by the costs and importance of elements like campaign setup, content strategy, and robust reporting, realizing they need a compelling story and expertise before investing in advertising and PR. #StartupGrowth #MarketingStrategy #Entrepreneurship

"When Should I Start Marketing?" My Favorite Question 😀 Yesterday, I had the privilege of presenting with Ben Davies to a room full of early-stage founders at the Manchester Digital Startup Event. Our session focused on a topic we’re both passionate about: the power of storytelling—for both customers and investors. At the end of the session, I was asked my all-time favourite marketing question: "When should I start marketing?" My answer? YESTERDAY. Here’s why: 👇 Marketing isn’t just something you turn on after building an MVP or launching a product. Building a pipeline and meaningful connections takes longer than most founders anticipate. Start early. Tell people what you’re doing, why it matters, and ask if you can get back in touch when you’re ready to share more. By starting sooner, you’ll ✅Warm up your audience. 🌴Plant the seeds of your value proposition. 🥰Begin building personal relationships that will matter when it counts. If you’re an early-stage founder, you can't afford to wait. Thanks Alice Pickersgill for the invite

My 5-day marketing strategy course is the perfect starting place for small business owners who are early in their journey - establishing themselves, trying to get in front of the right audience, stabilising a regular income. But what if you're beyond that point? What if it's time to grow... and you're just not sure how? What if you're ready to diversify your income? What if you need to move on from a 1-2-1 offer to 1-2-many? What if you want to grow past 'steady' and reach 'spectacular'? Would you be ready to do what it takes? If I could give you the blueprint for the next phase, would you take it? If marketing for growth is where you're at. If you've reached your earning limit for the time you have. If you don't know how to hop over the income barrier. I've got exactly what you need. 4 weeks, starting 25th November. And by the end of it, you'll have your growth plan for 2025. Ready to join your first accelerator? It's going to be VERY limited numbers. And the first person to sign up will get two extra sessions in January to set them on the right track for 2025. Time for a conversation? DM me, babe - you're SO much more ready for this than you think you are.

Five myths about marketing... and some inconvenient truths: ❌ “I don’t need marketing, my service/product is good enough” ✔️ There are over 1.3 million (!) registered small and medium-sized businesses in a handkerchief-sized country like Belgium alone. That is a LOT of competition and a lot for your potential clients to choose from. Every business needs marketing. ❌ “The larger my target market, the more I’ll sell” ✔️ Trying to serve everyone is a shortcut to appealing to no one. A narrow target market allows you to tailor your messaging and offerings to meet specific needs - and thus, more effective marketing and happier customers. ❌ “Marketing is just about selling” ✔️ Sales are just one outcome of successful marketing. If you focus solely on collecting customers, they’ll leave as quickly as they came. Proper marketing builds and fosters relationships and trust, long-term. ❌ “Marketing is a waste of time & money” ✔️ Marketing IS a waste of money - if you don’t do it wisely. Develop a plan and a budget to control your spending - and stick to it, for a few weeks, or better still, months. Monitor which tactics bring in the best results. Once you know what works, ditch what doesn't and double down on what does. ❌ "Marketing is easy, and anyone can do it." ✔️ Ads and social media updates are not a strategy. They are tactics. Thoughtful, sustainable marketing takes a LOT of time and effort, and it may not pay off until you’ve spent months investing in and implementing a proper strategy. To develop one a realistic plan, you’ll probably need a second opinion or two - preferably from a marketing expert. --- 🙋♂️Have you encountered these myths ‘in the wild’ ?
