The most common bad advice I hear is: You are not from business related family. Most of history was built by poor people. They just got credit when they make it. The only way to truly learn something is by doing it. Yes, listen to guidance. But don’t wait. You have to enjoy it and keep doing it, keep doing it, and keep doing it. Don’t keep track, and don’t keep count because if you do, you will run out of time.

Crucial conversations, and I don't mean the book. A key ingredient in the recipe of life that seems to be missing at an increased frequency. This life skill is applicable everywhere, but especially in fraud. Having all the facts beforehand, asking questions with a PURPOSE, asking questions I already know the answer to in order to get that light bulb moment with a customer. Or, identifying the tough scenarios where unfortunately the only course of action is separation. How do you use crucial conversations? What tips do you have? How can we better pass this skill to young people to build better PEOPLE, which leads to an easier time building better professionals? #fraud #fraudfighter

📖 The Psychology of Money by Morgan Housel is a game-changer! One key insight: “Financial success is more about behavior than knowledge.” This idea made me rethink how I approach money and decisions in life. The book doesn’t just focus on numbers or strategies but dives into the emotions and habits that drive our financial choices. It’s a reminder that mindset matters just as much as skill. If you're looking for a fresh perspective, give it a read!

Ready to channel your inner detective this spooky season? 🎃👻 Discover how cracking true crime mysteries can sharpen your skills. "Piecing together a true crime puzzle is a lot like a work project. There’s always that project that requires moving a lot of players and pieces and rethinking procedures. You can’t just make a change and wait to see what happens. You must think 30 steps ahead for every part of the process. My true crime passion has helped me to think 'If I make this change, what are all the changes?' Not only what changes immediately but how it affects each person involved or shifts their roles in the 'story.'"
