Reflecting on an Inspiring Evening with UrbanPromise On October 30, we were proud to sponsor and support Urban Promise’s "Night of Promise" event—a celebration of community, leadership, and the transformative work being done in #CamdenNJ. The evening featured inspiring performances by Urban Promise youth, a powerful message from founder Dr. Bruce Main, live music, a family-style dinner, and countless stories that touched our hearts. It was a true reminder of the impact Urban Promise has on the lives of young people and the community every day. Thank you, Urban Promise, for an unforgettable evening and for your unwavering commitment to shaping the next generation of leaders. Today, I’ve been reflecting on how often we view life solely from our own perspective. It’s natural to see the world through the lens of our experiences, but stepping into someone else’s shoes can completely shift the picture we thought was so clear. When we take the time to change our vantage point, we often find that the image before us is far more complex and nuanced than we initially believed. This idea reminds me of a conversation I once had with a mentor who told me, “Perception is reality, but the way you look at it can change everything.” Those words have stayed with me because they highlight the power of perspective. So often, we make assumptions about people, situations, or challenges based on our limited view. As I’ve grown as a leader, I’ve learned to challenge my own assumptions and broaden my perspective. Doing so has allowed me to better understand and support my team, my community, and my family. Yesterday afternoon, I had the honor of attending the Urban League of Philadelphia’s Whitney M. Young Empowerment Luncheon—a truly inspiring event filled with stories of resilience, powerful lessons, and reminders of the strength it takes to achieve greatness. As a Black woman, a single mother, an entrepreneur, and a board member, the challenges of balancing my roles while striving for success are not unfamiliar to me. That’s why one moment in particular deeply resonated with me: Dr. Ala Stanford’s words, “You see me here, but you don’t know what it took to get here.” Her statement hit home because it reflects a truth so many of us live—behind every success lies an unseen journey of sacrifices, struggles, and relentless determination. Being in a room with so many inspiring individuals reminded me of the importance of leading with both compassion and curiosity. We often see only the polished outcomes of others’ journeys, but events like this encourage us to look deeper and appreciate the full story. I am so grateful to the Urban League of Philadelphia for creating a space to share these truths and build connections with others committed to empowerment and progress. Thank you for hosting such an impactful and meaningful event! #Empowerment #TheUrbanLeagueOfPhiladelphia #BlackWomenInBusiness #BlackWomenLeadership #IWorkforComcast

As a leader, an advocate, and someone who grew up understanding the power of community, I know firsthand the impact of each vote. Some may feel like their voice doesn’t matter – that they’re just one in the crowd. But believe me, your vote is powerful. It’s a message, a statement, and a vision for the future we want to build. I vote every chance I get because I understand the stakes and the change that’s possible when we speak up collectively. Today, I urge each of you to stand up and cast your ballot. Together, let’s make sure our voices aren’t overlooked. Let’s shape our future, our communities, and our legacy. 🗳️ Go and vote. Your voice matters. #Vote #ElectionDay #MakeYourVoiceHeard #CommunityImpact #Leadership #CivicDuty
