I stumbled across this image and it pained me as a traveler. Tourists in the name of exploration are disrespecting nature and local ecosystems. I see it as a growing issue. And, I have a solution! I propose that there should be a 'tourist blacklisting' platform, where if one is seen throwing garbage openly then they are blacklisted from all the travel booking sites. And they can only reuse the travel booking sites after going through a course in cleanliness. This will at least make people accountable and they will start respecting the places they are visiting the same way they respect tidiness in their homes. It's disheartening to see that some individuals still require a push to use dustbins even today. And then the same citizens complain about the lack of cleanliness in the country. I feel that the measure I shared will potentially generate the necessary backlash fostering a sense of responsibility among tourists, what do you think? #sustainabletourism #wastemanagement #swacchabharat #mountains

It's all deeply embedded in the behaviour of people. They think once they throw away something, there is someone having the job of picking up the trash and that it's not their own duty. Also, if a bit of trash is lying somewhere, other people too throw stuff there thinking that there's already a pile of trash and that theirs won't matter. Some strict regulations may do something to fix this.

A backlash won't results in solution. It is simple- A problem and solution is a community effort. The community of travellers who are willing to explore places but they need to ask themselves - " Do I want to visit a dirty place?" If not, so ensure we're not doing it ourselves and keeping the place happy to click happy pictures 😁😁

Finding fault only people is not correct , but why the Authorities permit the junk food management to do like this packing, if it is packing in high resale value poket means no one throws away anywhere. Always give the same respect to food and the packing materials otherwise only people will pay tax for collection and disposal in the right way.

I certainly don't want to defend anyone here, but it looks to me more like the dustbin has somehow fallen over and the wind has scattered the rubbish.

With you on this Buddy. Not just tourist places,in general people should not throw trash around and use dustbins.govt needs to implement strict laws with hefty penalties for violators, otherwise I don't see this improving.
