Austrian electric boat manufacturer Frauscher Boats has unveiled its new electric sports boat, the Frauscher x Porsche 850 Fantom.   In partnership with Porsche AG, this new 8.67m electric boat will feature the all-electric drive unit from the Porsche Macan Turbo, including the HV battery and propulsion system.   The motor will be capable of delivering up to 400kW and will be located in the hull of the boat and controlled directly via a Z-drive. STOP! 🛑 It may seem like a simple process, but using the brakes on a fully loaded adventure bike is fairly unique. The uneven terrain we travel on adds a degree of complexity over riding on the pavement. So, we’d like to reinforce the correct technique for braking & stopping: 1⃣ Tune the bike’s ABS to the appropriate setting for off-road riding 2⃣ Identify how much rear brake is needed by its slowing effect on the bike’s movement 3⃣ Use both brakes at the same time to maximize stopping power and keep the bike’s geometry at an optimum 4⃣ Too much front brake alone plunges the bike’s weight onto the front wheel, reducing weight and traction for the rear wheel 5⃣ Too much rear brake alone drags the rear wheel, reducing traction and causes skidding Please take care to implement these skills and techniques in a progressive manner. The advent of structured luff technology and advanced sail materials has transformed yacht performance. However, there remains a gaping low-tech hole in racing – the method of setting batten compression. Traditionally, this has relied on experience and visual estimation.
