Traveling to Paris and seeing my mum's work featured in The Louvre shifted my perspective on what "premium" truly means. Look left...Look right... someone somewhere is hosting a conference. Recently, I had it in mind to host a virtual conference for designers tagged "Dear Designers, Let's Gist"(DDLG). There's a lot I planned for this. I mean every thing is planned out already but, For the last few days now, I've been seeing different flyers of designers hosting different conferences. At a point, I had to sit and think, If I actually decide to host this conference, will I get the desired amount of designers I want onboard? Apart from this, will I actually achieve my goal? I mean this conference for designers is going on already. Another one is coming up soon. Someone somewhere is planning one. And here I am ruminating on if I'll thrive when I finally decide to host this conference and launch the flyer into the world. 😩 I've heard people give an illustration of the sky being too big for all birds to fly. So, there's definitely room for everyone to succeed no matter if someone is doing the same thing as you. Though different designers are hosting conferences, I will host mine and will succeed in it. This is what I've been using to motivate myself. I know I can definitely do this and I will do it. I have fears but I choose to face my fears and go for what I want regardless of the obstacles that may come my way. 🥹 What advice do you have for me? Trust me, your POV will definitely go a long way.
