INDOMALPHI's patrols and intelligence sharing have strengthened maritime law enforcement capabilities, closed potential loopholes that could be exploited by criminals and expanded the military presence. Strengthening communications between command centers in Tarakan, Indonesia; Tawi-Tawi, Philippines; and Tawau, Malaysia, are also considered priorities, as trilateral maritime exercises increase to showcase the strength of joint forces and counter potential threats.
