Understanding the Composition of a #MAC Address A MAC (Media Access Control) address is a unique identifier assigned to network devices. It is composed of 48 bits, represented by 12 hexadecimal digits (0-9, A-F). The MAC structure can be divided into two main parts: OUI (Organizationally Unique Identifier): The first 24 bits identify the device manufacturer. Device-specific identifier: The last 24 bits are unique to each device produced by the company.
