The brainpower in this room would light up an entire Christmas tree (a big one)! We rolled out the red carpet for JACS Capital and former CEO of GE, Jeff Immelt; gathering startup founders, investors, and Big Co (BMW Manufacturing Co., LLC, Michelin, Milliken & Company) to talk about NextGEN and the #StartupGVL ecosystem and in Board Member Marty Osborn's words, it was "Genius." Not us, but the energy, transparency, and thoughtfulness of the conversation was just what we needed to close out the year. We're left with inspiration and a challenge to increase access to capital in SC, continue to pull thought partners together more often, and pursue growth. And, a common thread we've heard throughout the year - we all need to think bigger. Thank you to SCRA: South Carolina Research Authority for allowing us to use your beautiful space and to everyone who joined around the table. We appreciate all you do for NextGEN and the startup community!
